*We are now back from our honeymoon so I can resume posting about our projects and then we’ll move on to the RECAPS!

I love wood; I have always loved it! Mr. Poodle does too, so we wanted a lot of it on our wedding day, but since I don’t have power tools, I had to ask for help from my FIL. I drew all the shapes and he cut them for me.

Mr. Poodle’s dad cutting our names—he made it look SO easy, like he was cutting butter!
Our table number cut and ready for sanding!
All ready!! FIL wanted to varnish them, but I love the soft color.
He also helped me cut the circles for the 2 sweets towers I wanted. We finished them with pieces of wood and birdhouses on top!
And below is one of the projects O loved the most—our tree rounds! We used those for our tables and for some sweets in our desert buffet!
Again, my FIL worked on sanding the tops.
This time he varnished them and I totally loved the shiny look!

And here you can see the huge ones we got for the cake and both sides of our sweets buffet table. Oh, and Curly, of course!

I love the wood rounds! Unfortunately, I could only find one to use for a small cake for our wedding…I don’t know anyone cutting down any trees and they are too expensive to buy, I’m jealous!
I wasn’t planning on using wood, but this post sure makes me want to incorporate it somehow!! Beautiful, I love it!

we are using wood rounds for our wedding! love this idea and it looked great! if by any chance you are wanting to sell the rounds i would love to see how much….i am getting nervous i wont be able to find any that arent all gross from bugs….let me know! we live in claremont/rancho area…thats next to san bernardino!!
