About Mrs. Seashell

Soon after our Save the Date magnets arrived, I went to paper heaven. Xpedx is paper heaven. And how, how, how had I no idea such a store existed?

From cardstock, to every size envelope imaginable, to tissue paper, to gift bags, I could not imagine a bride not going absolutely nuts here. Seriously, it’s awesome! Best of all, the employees were more than generous about offering samples of open stock.

My personal find of the day was A2 Stardream Antique Gold Envelopes.

As a result, I started rethinking our Save the Date packaging. My major gripe with magnets is that they shake around in the envelope and feel somewhat lost and appear “unfinished”. The good news is, our magnets measure 5 1/2″ by 3 1/2″ (they’re kind of huge, oopsies!) and they fit perfectly in an A2 envelope. So I started thinking I’d focus my attention on styling the envelopes…

What are your favorite envelope decorating details? Wrap around labels? Embossing?

I TOTALLY ordered that exact same envelope from some company as one of my samples that we are considering for our wedding invitations!

We have an Xpedex here and I wonder if prices vary because they were more expensive than Cards & Pockets—but Xpedex does have a great line of stuff to go through :)

I googled Xpedx and found this website:

http://www.xpedx.com/

Is this the same company? They have two locations in Grand Rapids where I am but I am not sure if they are stores like this….

Large paper stores scare me, but you sure make it sound tempting :)

Haha, I am definitely not one to give advice on decorating envelopes, I beautified ours with rubber stamps. That’s about it.

Anchor Paper is the Minneapolis giant-paper store. I am a scrapbooker, so I love going there because it’s like 1/10th the price of Archivers. You buy the paper by the pound!

And as for your question, I think wrap around labels are awesome, but I really love just classic calligraphy as well.

I LOVE xpedex! I found the people at the Chicago one to be so helpful, they can also order you just about anything to the store with no shipping.
