Mrs. Dolphin's Picture
Mrs. Dolphin, Gainesville, FL Age and Occupation: 24, Graduate Architecture Student Fiance's Age and Occupation: 24, Interactive Interface Developer Engagement Date: February 14, 2008 Wedding Date: May 2010 Venue: Plantation Bay Country Club About Me: I’m currently a Graduate Student at the University of Florida studying Architecture. I enjoy playing Scrabble with my Fiance, rooting for the Florida Gators, making any drink that involves a blender, cleaning (yes... I’m crazy), design... GOOD design that is, the new Pepsi with natural sugar, taking pictures, discovering new places in the U.S., and obsessing over doing (and designing) everything myself for our upcoming wedding!
About Mrs. Dolphin

So far the guest count for our wedding is at 92 attending and 10 not attending. Pretty good, right? If you are reading this and you have been invited and are planning on attending our wedding… TURN IN YOUR RSVP CARD!!! Okee? Thanks!

I just realized that this is your first glimpse at our invitation suite! For our RSVP cards we decided to do a postcard to save on postage and envelopes, and make our lives easier (as we ordered our design through Overnight Prints).

RSVP Status :: 92 Yes, 10 No :  wedding gainesville rsvp 110 1

Dolphin Kitty’s paw of approval!

Mr. Dolphin and I have had so much fun receiving our RSVP cards in the mail. We make it a little event when we get home from work and school. We both walk out to the mailbox together. Mr. Dolphin always gets the mail out of the box, and plays the ’guess who RSVP’ed today’ game with me. I got smart one time and checked the mail before he got home (just so I would have the upper hand in the game), but Mr. Dolphin got upset and chased me back to the house once he had figured it out. He’s so funny. :)

Besides enjoying our daily walk to the mailbox, Mr. Dolphin and I have enjoyed all the fun ways that our guests have RSVPed, and the sweet little notes they leave us.

RSVP Status :: 92 Yes, 10 No :  wedding gainesville rsvp 23 2

A sweet note from Mr. Dolphin’s Aunt that reads: See y’all soon! Stay calm and have fun these last months of preparation. Love her!

RSVP Status :: 92 Yes, 10 No :  wedding gainesville rsvp 32 3

Some of our guests even had fun with our little menu entree animals. So cute!

At the moment, Mr. Dolphin and I have all these babies sitting on a shelf in our living room, but we have already made plans to place them in a special wedding memories box (which will be in a later post). How cool will it be to go through all these RSVP cards on our 10th, 20th, 50th anniversary and remember all the people who came and made our day extra special?

Do you plan on keeping your returned RSVP cards? Do you have any special plans for them?

I love it!
We did postcards too, but guests weren’t as creative or fun as yours. I’m actually pretty upset (okay just bummed) that people aren’t being so creative. We did a “Song Reguest” line and only have left suggstions. Grrr

So cute!! I almost threw them away, and then stopped myself. I don’t know what I’ll do with them, but I’m keeping them for now.

Very cute! How did you like the quality of Overnight Prints? We are doing postcard STD and I am debating which company to use.

I am also intersted in Overnight Prints, were you pleased with the service and quality you received from them? Postcard STDs and RSVPs seems like a logical idea and money saver!

@Cornhusker: @Lo: The quality was fantastic! And it was super easy to order, type in a promo code, and we were done! No more cutting, gluing, etc. We even did Photo cards and Menus through Overnight prints and are planning to make “We’re Married” postcards through them to send out to our guests who couldn’t make the wedding.

Your RSVP cards are really cute and I love that you and the Mr go to the mailbox together to get them.
P.S. I totally would have cheated one day too ;-)

We have online RSVPs, so unfortunately we don’t get all the fun responses. Its still fun to get little email notifications that somebody has RSVPd, though.

I love this!! I wanted to do a postcard and something that encouraged responses, but I still wanted it to be a little fancy feeling (not formal but not causal.) I think you guys struck the perfect balance. LOVE IT!

I’m on the fence about keeping them (what am I going to do with them? and they are all a little worse for wear from the postal system, and we don’t really have any cute notes), but I don’t have the heart to throw them out, so they are in one of many “wedding supply” totes right now awaiting their (yet unknown) fate. VERY cute invites, and RSVPs!

If my guests return our RSVP’s with cute/fun sayings then I’m definitely keeping them. Otherwise, guess they’ll be thrown into the recycled bin. :(
