Hello hive!

I could not possibly be more excited to BEE here! When I found out, Mr. Hermit Crab said to me, “I think you’re more excited than when you got into graduate school.” He might be right.

Who are the Hermit Crabs? We have been living in Syracuse, NY for three years where I am a youth director (and I love my job!) and he is a medical student. In just two weeks, he’ll graduate and we’ll move back home to New York City where he will start a surgery residency and I’ll go back to graduate school for master’s in social work (I promise I’m excited about that, too!). I love to laugh, spend time with friends and family, and all things food (eating, baking, cooking, you name it!). Mr. Hermit Crab and I are totally dedicated to giving back to the community, and we try weave that into our lives and our wedding as much as possible.

In addition to my recaps this summer, you’ll get to hear about my experiences as a bridesmaid in Israel in July, officiating an Upstate NY wedding in September and attending other close friends’ weddings—it’s non-stop!

We’re planning a weekend-long New York City bash in June with lots of color, plenty of friends and family and a little DIY here and there. I am just SO excited to be part of the hive and can’t wait to share our journey with you.

Hang on tight, hive! With just barely a month left before the wedding, we going to be moving fast as I catch you up on planning and share what’s going on these next few weeks.
