Mr. Lobster and I live in Tribeca, New York. It’s got the charm of urban loft living (if you can afford it, I cannot but Justin Timberlake can!!) with the reminder of old New York in its cobblestone streets and buildings full of character. It only makes sense that we should take our engagement pictures here where we’ve started to build our life together and got engaged. Our e-shoot is not until July but I want to make sure our neighborhood was the perfect spot.
One sunny Saturday, we took advantage of the weather and went for a walk, scouting out “cool” spots for photos. With my trusty Canon SD something something, Mr. Lobster, Buddy and I were off!

I don’t think we really learned anything or whatever, but it was fun! It made me appreciate the beauty of our neighborhood more and I’m looking forward to our e-shoot!
Did you take “practice pictures” in your e-shoot location?
is buddy going to be in your engagement pictures? please say yes. also, whenever the mister and i go down there i always say what a cool place it would be to take our engagement photos. we’re married now, so he thinks i’m lame.
Buddy is ADORABLE! Our Westie was in our e-pics and we are trying our hardest to find a way to get him in some wedding pics as well 
wow lovely! So different to see pictures of big cities, such a shock compared to my country living!

P.S. Buddy is adorable and makes me miss my doggies at my parent’s house… I can’t wait to see them on Sunday
That’s so smart! I’m up in Hell’s Kitchen, so we don’t have the picturesque streets like you do down there. A practice shoot to scout out some locations is just what we need. Thanks for the idea!
We did some practice shots around Astoria with our photog friend- Our actual pictures will be in our hometown in PA, so we wanted some city pics. It turned out to be a great idea to learn how awkward we can be in front of the camera.
Fun! We scouted out our shots via google maps the night before our shoot!

Buddy is super duper cute! We had our westie in our engagement pictures, and my fiance woud like her at the wedding as well. Not sure our cathedral will approve!
