About Mrs. Hermit Crab

Ah, the Ring!

May 7th, 2010 @ 5:21 pm by Mrs. Hermit Crab

I have a hard time admitting this, hive, but for you, I’ll do it.

I looked at pictures of rings online for months before we were actually engaged. Whew, there, it’s out! I wasn’t sure what I wanted but, but I ogled over delicious sparkly, shiny baubles like these:

Ah, the Ring! : wedding nyc rings Pinkri Ah, the Ring! : wedding nyc rings Blueri Ah, the Ring! : wedding nyc rings Pinkri01 Ah, the Ring! : wedding nyc rings Blueri01

You may notice that they all have colored stones. I definitely wanted something unique, non-traditional, and so I thought, colorful.

I’ve admired others’ beautiful colored stones on the boards and Miss Stripes’ gorgeous ring.

Well, it turns out that Mr. Hermit Crab may just know me better than I know myself. You got a little sneak peek of the beauty that Mr. Hermit Crab surprised me with at Heart Island, but just in case you wanted to see it again:

Oh, it’s a little blurry? Would you like to see it a little more clearly? Here you go:

Pictures just do not do it justice! It sparkles, and shines, it’s unique and just so perfectly me! It’s a little reminder of my Mr. Hermit Crab every time I look at it, and I look forward to wearing it forever.

Gorgeous!
I picked mine out. Fi wanted to make sure I got what I wanted and I picked out a style that I never thought I’d want. I always thought I was an asher or princess cut kind of girl, and then I met the 88 cut round solitare!

Very cool! Love how the larger stones are bezel set—that’s what that’s called, right? While I have colored side stones in my e-ring I fall for anything that is beautiful and sparkly….I would take them all I swear! haha

I love your ring; it’s beautiful, and definitely not your run-of-the-mill engagement ring.

I, too, wanted something a little different. Plenty of people have told me how my ring is so unique, but it does happen to be advertised on the upper right side of the weddingbee page about 60% of the time I’m on this site! Still, I haven’t seen it on any fingers, so I feel special.

Wow it does sparkle! You almost need video to show off it’s sparkle… ;)

I wasn’t even expecting an engagement or looking at rings when future hubby approached me one new year’s eve with a handful of family heirlooms. He gave me the option of picking my own ring and I chose the one he thought to give me! =)
