About Mrs. Penguin

The B-List was given a look into this season’s WEtv wedding programming, including a new season of Bridezillas and a brand new show called Girl Meets Gown. Girl Meets Gown is a WEtv original series that takes a behind-the-scenes look at the Dallas area’s premiere bridal salon, Stardust. Some pretty wacky scenarios come up, including two sisters searching for one wedding gown to share between the two of them for their upcoming weddings. Check it out!

I’m excited for another wedding series to get hooked on, although seeing all the beautiful gowns always gives me a bit of dress envy. :)

Would you share a wedding dress with a sister or loved one? Splitting the cost seems like quite a budget-friendly idea!

I saw that episode a few weeks ago!
I don’t think I could share. Another girl on the same episode had a GORGEOUS dress and a wedding in the woods that was extremely different and personal for them and I thought it was awesome.

Budget friendly - yes, but I don’t think I could share my dress with my sister as I’m sure there’s always something that either she or I don’t like! I’ll share my veil and accessories though! :-)

Agreed - budget friendly but I don’t know two sisters with the same style.

I actually have friends that are twins and the younger one got married first and 4 years later her twin had it shortened and altered so she could wear the same dress! Not only did they share the same dress, they are twins!

It happens! My friend was just telling me about how her Mom and two aunts shared the same dress. The real kicker is that the first and third bride got married about 10 years apart…Yikes 1980’s bride 1990’s bride!

I would want to be the one wearing it first! ha it’s a little too far out there for me.

I would share a dress… probably not with any of my sisters, as we have different tastes… but I would love to repurpose my mom’s dress!

Hi Penguin! =D
Still smiling ear to ear btw!

Imagine, if by chance (and I totally believe in chances today!) the sisters are here on wb!? Haha. That would be … interesting!

This show looks like such fun!
I’m going to make this my ‘relax’ time event this Sunday. I always turn in on Sunday evenings with something fun and light to prepare for a stinky Monday! =]

I’ve been loving this show so far! As far as sharing my dress with my sister, I would NEVER do it. Even though we have similar tastes, I would be too fearful of the dress somehow getting ruined. Plus, she’s taller and bustier than me, so I’m not sure how that would work for us.

The new episodes have been great too! Last night one of the brides was so upset about her weight, she didn’t come out of the dressing room to show her mom her dress. Also, the red head had a beauuuuutiful gown! I just love this show! Has anyone else been tuned in for the dress drama?

StarDust Celebrations is the Bridal Salon where this show was filmed. It’s in Plano, TX and it’s amazing! Everyone is sooo nice and they really care about their brides, the whole bridal party - and check out the gowns on the show… crazy beautiful!

I actually watched Girl Meets Gown, and I was pretty excited about it! It’s like the Southern “Say Yes to the Dress” to me, and I was happy to have another wedding show to love! :)
