Mrs. Seashell, Chicago, IL / Providence, RI Age and Occupation: 28, Marriage and Family Therapist Fiance's Age and Occupation: 31, Electrical Engineer Engagement Date: September 3, 2009 Wedding Date: September 2010 Venue: The Glen Manor House About Me: Fonts and fashion, stationery and Sundays, photography and french toast... the beauty is in the details for this fun-loving Chicagoan who loves to plan plan plan! The soon-to-be hubs plays "Mr. Fix-It" in our new condo while I swoon over beautiful, personalized stationery and choose shades of aubergine for my bridesmaids' dresses... and thus begins my new fairy tale! About Mrs. Seashell

I reorganized my desk today and pulled open the box that I used to save our engagement cards. There must be at least a hundred cards in there! How lucky can we be to have such love and support from our wonderful friends and family? I’m just taking a moment to feel thankful…

Oh that’s so nice that you kept those cards! I think we only got one or two engagement cards, lol! Since I’ve been thinking about writing our vows lately, it’s really made me stop and think about everything OTHER than the food, decor and details. It’s definitely nice to step back and see the reason for what we’re doing.

How sweet! I don’t think we got any engagement cards. :( I do, however, keep every card that I/we get, and they’re always fun to re-read.

Now that our wedding is over, I have cut out phrases and pictures from our cards to include in our wedding scrapbook.

Aw, so sweet! I love looking at the notebook that was passed around at my shower where people wrote words of marital wisdom and advice for us.

I have every card we received for our enagement, bridal showers, and wedding- as well as all of our response cards. Sometimes, we just need reminding of how much we’re loved :)

Aww! That’s so sweet… I wish I’d saved ours. I’m very anti-clutter & at the time, I didn’t think about saving them. I never save b-day cards or anything… now I’m wishing I did. I will save our wedding cards though :)
