Tiny Ones

Oh, tiny ones - how can you not love those little spotlight stealers? Kidding-ish. :)

Tiny Ones : wedding flower girl phoenix Flower Girl And Ring Bearer flower-girl-and-ring-bearer

(Adorable source)

We have yet to determine if we will have any tiny ones in our wedding but that hasn’t stopped me from shopping for a possible outfit (or 10) for them… and by them I mean flower girl. I can’t help it – how can you not love tiny ruffles, full skirts and shimmery shoes?

Now before I delve into the cuteness overload, I should first clarify that I don’t particularly like the idea of little girls in white dresses. I can’t say exactly what my issue is but it’s just a bit too bridey (that’s a word) – I like the idea of them being original and having something different than a long white dress like the bride. Personally, I love the idea of having the flower girl in a dress that is one of the wedding colors (whichever color isn’t being used for the bridesmaids). Let’s explore, shall we?

I mean really, how cute is this darling little dress from J.Crew:

Or this stylish drop-waist dress:

And I am seriously LOVING this sweet little yellow one:

Wow… just wow:Tiny Ones : wedding flower girl phoenix Ophelia

Pretty in pink anyone?

I adore the color of this blue cutie:

But really, can they please make this one in my size? I die.

This is just the tip of the iceberg. Don’t even get me started on accessories like headbands, shoes and lord help me, tiny purses.

So what are your thoughts on flower girl dresses? Many lead toward the bride white—do you just melt for the traditional mini-me white gown or are you on the alt side like me? Am I in the minority?

Aw so cute! We sadly do not have any little girls to gussy up - we’ll have to do with our two adorable little ring bearers in sharp suits and ties =)

I let my pint-sized flower girls decide whether they wanted white or green dresses (my bridesmaids are wearing black but it looks to morbid on kids) and they wanted white. But their dresses have green polka dots = super cute.

I went the non traditonal route, they were coral colored dresses with little flowers… it was actually quilting fabric.. :P

I absolutely adore that jcrew layered dress for a flower girl…but more for me! Why oh why don’t they make that in an adult size? How perfect would that be for the rehersal dinner? Omg.

I was debating whether I should get a colored dress or a white/ivory dress for my niece/flower girl. I ended up going with an adorable ivory dress that actually looks similar to mine. I found it for $23 at JCPenney so I couldn’t pass it up. But I am thinking of making a sash for her in one of the bright wedding colors.

Those are all SO cute! I’m seriously in love with the yellow one - I’ve been drooling over it for a while now. I think I spend more time looking at FG/Junior bridesmaid dresses than anything else, but I feel like they’re so hard to buy ’cause they’re growing so fast! I don’t know how early to buy them!

CUTE! There are no young girls in my or FI’s family. at all. Not even friends. We know tons of little boys, but no girls. So, we had to nix the flower girl (and subsequently, the ring bearer) early on. I’m going to miss all the adorable photos though.

I love love love the first picture, it made my heart melt! My favourite dress out of the ones you listed would have to be the pink layered one. Anything that reminds me of little twirling ballerinas is good in my book ; ) I really wish I had stayed in my ballet lessons as a child haha

My flower girl has been in dance classes since she was able to walk…I’m giving her mom pretty free reign to look through all of her ballet outfits to find something in white or our colors that might work.

My flower girl will be a flower girl in her mom’s wedding two months prior so I’m letting her wear what she’s wearing that day. Those dresses are super cute though!!

I have probably posted 100 times about my flower girl dresses, but I am in LOVE WITH THEM. I knew from the get-go I wanted pink fg dresses. Pink and ruffly. One day, while shopping at Target, I came across The Dress for the little sweeties. Pink. Ruffles. Rosettes. $17.99!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

From Weddingbee

Sold! They are so darling. Because they’re a little wispy for October, we’re pairing them with darling ivory cardigans (found at Burlington Coat Factory for $6.99!!!) for a little warmth. The cozy texture is sweet with the fluffy ruffles, I think.

Hm, well, the link above that says “From Weddingbee” is actually a link to a photo of the dress (people at Target must think I’m loco) that’s in my Weddingbee Folder on Google Photos.

*sigh* I can never get my links right…

My herd of children (5 FG and 3 RB).. The girls are wearing dresses that have ivory tops and red shirts. Little guys are matching the groomsmen.

No little ones for us. All of our relatives are too young or too old :) But I’d love to play dress up!

My niece is wearing a green dress (she wanted a white one, but has a tendency to play in mud, so we felt green may be a better option!). My little dude (nephew) is wearing khakis and a Hawaiian shirt. That’s what you get when you left 5 year olds decide what they want to wear :)
