Nothing has made this whole getting married thing feel more real than the fun mail I’ve started receiving over the past couple of weeks!

This is for the bridal shower that my bridesmaids are throwing for me on May 23rd (the day after my graduation!). One of my sweet friends and bridesmaids designed the invitation herself. Sooo precious!

This one is for the shower that Mr. Turtle’s mom and grammy are throwing for me on June 5th. They’re inviting a lot of their friends and side of the family that I’ve never met before.

I designed this recipe card to coordinate with the invitation and printed the design on pink cardstock. I love to cook and bake, so I can’t wait for some new recipes!

Looking at these invitations feels so surreal! I’m so used to getting invitations like this in the mail for other people, but seeing my name on them is just crazy! I feel like even though we registered for gifts, it totally didn’t occur to me that people will actually be buying them for us! I’ve already felt so overwhelmed by the love and generosity shown to us by our friends and family during our engagement. My bridesmaids, especially, have been such amazing friends to me! I’m starting to get really excited about the next couple of months, because I know that in the midst of all the stress, I will be experiencing some of the most joyful times of my life!

When was the moment that getting married started to feel real for you?

These are adorable! My maid of honor just finished up the invites for my shower and I can’t wait to get mine in the mail! I also had to comment because my name is Brianne too. I’ve never seen anybody else spell it the same way!

Here’s another Brianne commenting on being name twins. Your shower is also the same day as my wedding.

You probably pronounce it differently though. My name is pronounced just like the boy’s name, everyone calls me Bri. (long I, not like the cheese)

@Miss Stargazer: Haha, I have a feeling that you’re definitely not alone! I hadn’t even meant to stalk our registry, but I was looking it over a couple months ago, and two gifts had been fulfilled. I couldn’t believe people had already started buying us gifts! Craaaazy!

Sadly my mother is so against a shower since this is a second weddign for both of us (even though I am divorced for 19 years and have been living in her house) That I am sure I will not have one.
