Well, sort of.
Technically, yes, we did get married. Hooray!
But no, the wedding has not happened yet. Hooray for anticipation!
In order to be actually married on our honeymoon, we have to get married in Houston first in order to avoid French red tape. We went to the justice of the peace last week along with our witness/Houston officiant/bestie, Javier!
Javier caught the bouquet!
We loved our judge.
YAY! We’re married!
One wedding down, three to go!

Congrats!!! Your legal wedding looks so much nicer than our legal wedding! We had to get married at the Canadian embassy + Korean ward office. We were ushered into a tiny ‘interview room’ with only 1 chair, our papers were stamped, and then handed back to us. We were like ‘are we married?’ And the Canadian staff said ‘yeah. You can go now.’
Not a congratulations or anything. We couldn’t even take pictures inside the embassy. Thankfully there are 3 other ceremonies coming up so we can feel like we’ve had a more proper wedding. You marriage certificate is sooo much nicer too!
@bamm: Well, you know, Canadians…KIDDING!! I just watched some reruns of How I Met Your Mother and their Canadian jokes crack me up.
Actually the wedding party before us were decked out in Renaissance gear…made life interesting.
