This one photo tells you so much about our wedding day:

1) We were incredibly happy (duh), and this kiss was after we’d already had our ’Kiss’ but couldn’t stop grinning like idiots and kissed again before we started the recessional (we also hugged, which neither of us remember but we have photographic proof of it!).

2) It was sunny, and warm!! (Which was a huge relief after all week seeing the weather forecast predict thunderstorms for Saturday.)

3) It was incredibly windy. Like, gusts-up-to-50-mph windy.

Exhibit A: bridesmaids dresses whipping around

Exhibit B: my mom (on the left, in red) is holding my veil. Why, you ask? Well because about 2 minutes into the ceremony, it flew off down the aisle! Our good friend Joe caught it, and we decided on the spot that since we weren’t doing a garter toss, he was the lucky winner of the veil catch! I could not have cared less when I felt it blow away, I thought it was hilarious - and it makes for some pretty great photos to see my veil sticking straight out behind me when my dad and I walked up the aisle!

Everything about the day was so perfect - we could not believe how amazing it felt to be surrounded by so much love and happiness from our family and friends. The day flew by (as everyone said it would), but I soaked it all up as much as I could and I love going through the photos our friends have taken and reliving the entire wedding weekend! The whole thing went so smoothly (apart from the wind!) that at the end of the night, Mr. Guinea Pig and I just looked at each other, and all we could say was, “WOW.”
