I used a photo from our engagement session and created my own design for our Save the Dates with a little help from Photoshop and my honey. Then I ordered 4×6 magnets in our customized design from OvernightPrints.com.

I contemplated ordering from vistaprint.com since I have ordered from them before and their prices are always cheap. But they didn’t offer the magnets in the postcard size that I wanted, so I went with OvernightPrints. I am so glad that I did because they arrived quickly! In less than 2 weeks, I had our glossy magnets in my hot little hands.
The first thing that I did when I ripped open the package was count them.
I ordered 75 magnets for our guest list of approximately 150. We are sending one magnet per address and determined that 75 would be enough since the bulk of our guest list is made up of families & couples. They sent us 120 magnets. I was confused and checked the invoice again to make sure we ordered the right amount. Yep, we only ordered 75 and were charged for only 75. I guess they threw in some extras just in case. (Thank you, OvernightPrints!!)
I also checked the magnets for any flaws. I ended up throwing away a few scratched ones since we had so many extras, but the rest were absolutely perfect. They turned out much better than I had ever hoped for!
I was very pleased with the quality of the printing and the thickness of the magnet, but I did not love the sharp corners so much.
Not a problem though, because out came my trusty little corner rounder, whom I have lovingly named Kiwi!
Mr. S went to bed while Kiwi and I stayed up late rounding all four corners of each and every magnet. We worked slowly while watching TV and finished over 100 magnets before the sun came up.
Now they’re perfect and ready to be sent. (Thank you, Kiwi!)
I’m not sure what I will do with all the extras, but I’ll figure something out. The worse case scenario would be that one side of my fridge will be covered with our faces. Ha! I can imagine the kind of conversations that we’ll be having when people are over. LOL.
These envelopes are the reason why I wanted to order magnets in the 4×6 size. They’re not that special, but I found them in the clearance bin at Target for .25 per package! What a steal. Each package contains 21 greeting card envelopes. I bought 6 packages.
Mr. S and I ended up stamping and embossing the plain white envelopes to give them some pizazz. We used a flourish stamp and also introduced our Lovebird theme. I can’t wait to share that with you all soon!
