About Mrs. Parfait

Really?

May 25th, 2010 @ 1:52 pm by Mrs. Parfait

As in—really, they couldn’t have released these stamps three months earlier?!

Really? : wedding chicago postage 14 1

I was just at the post office, picking up more stamps for our thank you cards. They were all out of the wedding band stamps, so the lady behind the counter apologetically offered me these purple pansy ones.

OMGOSH, so pretty. When I needed stamps for our invitations and RSVPs, our options were polar bears, forever stamps, and these:

The newest love stamps are a giant leap forward, wouldn’t you say? Here’s hoping for many more lovely stamps in the future!

I couldn’t agree more! I fell in love with them after someone in the boards did a P.S.A about them coming out.

I just brought these pansies stamps less than an hour ago!

These pansies stamp has a story behind it, it was a Hallmark mother’s day card back in the decades ago, re-released as friendship card in the 40s, and it’s the best selling card ever since hallmark’s tracking system.

I lean over the counter and asked “are the love stamps purple?”, the lady look at me like a maniac. lol

hey u still get them for ur thank you card, so it’s all good. you don’t need to be stuck w/ the wedding cake after the wedding.

Maybe I’m nuts, but I love the wedding band ones! The bands are of the sort FI and I plan to pick. Do they no longer sell those? :(

Small steps for USPS, but at least they’re progressing! At least the other Love/wedding stamps are pertinent to love/wedding theme…

@Almost Mrs.Donnelly: Aww, I totally missed that. Wish I’d known about them sooner!

@dada: Oh neat, I had no idea!

@veganglam: Our post office still had a few sheets but not enough for our thank you cards. I used the wedding bands on our RSVPs. : )

I just mailed out our invites with these stamps today. They were lovely on our dark chocolate envelopes and purple and green wrap around labels. I should have taken a picture!

I was so upset the traditional heart one had been discontinued when we sent our invites. I had to go with the cake and rings as well, but I agree, where were these pansies?!?!? Love them! Too bad…At least the thank you cards get to be decorated with them!

I totally agree, this stamp would have gone perfect with our wedding colors in March. You would think that they would have released them sooner in the spring.

I can’t complain… they were released just in time for us to send our invites next week! Our colors are lavender and brown… so these pansies on a brown kraft paper envelope work perfectly!

I’m using the pansy stamp and I’m thrilled about it. Our colors are green and purple, and it’s a country rustic wedding, which seems to work well with the stamp. Not that anyone will notice!

We decided to customize our stamps with our logo. It costs more, but really pulls the whole look together.

I really like the pansies too! But I wish they were part of our wedding color scheme. Watch they come out with the perfect stamp for my wedding next year too! What poopers.

I think the cake ones are ok, but I really don’t like those ring ones. They are just so bleh. Hopefully USPS steps it up!

At least they have wedding stamps in the USA! My choices were between an exploding flourescent pink envelope or 2010 Olympics… 3 months after they’re over.
