Hi hive!

Due to increased traffic, Weddingbee had been working slower and slower for a few weeks, and we’re doing everything we can behind the scenes to make Weddingbee as speedy as possible. You may have noticed our new system of paging comments over the past couple of
days. It’s pretty self explanatory, but basically, Weddingbee posts will display the first 20 comments on one page, and any subsequent comments on page 2, 3, 4, and so on.

We’ve found that logging comments this way increases the speed of the blog dramatically. We hope you’re noticing that the site has been speedier over the past couple days, save for the drama we all experienced with our DNS server.*

*We’re trying to find out the specific person over at our domain registrar company who messed up Weddingbee so we can give him a swift kick in the nuts. Just kidding. But we sincerely hope that things on Weddingbee are returning to normal for you, and if not, they will continue to work themselves out as your browser caches the correct Weddingbee pages you’re viewing.

Why is there so much increased traffic? A rush of people who got engaged in the last few weeks? Was Weddingbee advertised somewhere big?

@amariem25: Increase in traffic has been steady and I think we reached a breaking point. Weddingbee doesn’t advertise.

I’m still having problems getting onto the boards. All the links take me to a random website with a random bride on it.

I can’t get on WB at all on my laptop. every single time (no matter how many times I clear cookies, caches and shut down) I get that domain registering page thing. I can only get wb on my work comp. Not cool. How do I fix this??

It won’t work on my home computer either! I’ve cleared my cache and cookies a number of times, but I keep getting that domain registering page. Will this resolve itself, or do I need to do something to my computer?

I totally appreciate that the site is doing the best it can, but the comments on multiple pages really takes away from the ‘dialogue’ of the comment section, you know? I hope we can go back to the old way soon! Thanks for listening.
