Mrs. Cola, Mountain View, CA Age and Occupation: 27, Product Communications and Promotions Fiance's Age and Occupation: 28, Managing Partner and Senior Designer Engagement Date: March 5, 2009 Wedding Date: June 2010 Venue: The Mountain Terrace, Woodside, CA About Me: I’m a Washington State native, enjoying life in Silicon Valley California with my fiancé, our three kitties and one leopard gecko. I like reading wedding blogs, Photoshopping wedding design mock ups, making lists, and planning, planning, planning! I’m a bit of an anomaly, on one side I’m a very girlie girl, I collect shoes, I lay out my outfits 4-6 weeks in advance, and I’d never leave the house without my hair curled and makeup on. But on the other side, I’m a total tomboy, I love to go camping and hiking, play drinking games (hey, I’m Irish!) and most of my closest friends are guys. My fiancé and I are planning a DIY-focused wedding with a balance between easygoing (what he wants) and chic and stylish (what I want), and are tying it all together with elements in lavender, sage, butter cream and chocolate.
About Mrs. Cola

So. Tired. Of. Paper.

June 3rd, 2010 @ 2:35 pm by Mrs. Cola

I never thought it would happen, but I am one burnt out Cola when it comes to our paper projects!

But I’m done now, I swear. I will not make even one more sign!

As you can tell, with these last few additions, I couldn’t bring myself to make much effort making them look cute. Oh well, they’ll serve their purpose!

A chair sign to save a seat for my grandfather that can’t make it to the wedding because he’s undergoing cancer treatment in Washington State:

Signs for both sides of our cupcake stand to remind people they can’t have cupcakes until after the cutting:

A sign for in the window of the charter bus guests will be taking to the wedding from the hotel:

And a sign for in the bathroom at my grandfather’s house, for the Sunday luncheon:

This is probably my 15th post on the various signage and paper elements I’ve made for our wedding and it will be the last, until we have to make thank you cards anyway! Hopefully after the wedding I’ll be once again be itching to be creative… but until then, I’m so over paper!

Have you gotten burnt out on any of your wedding projects?

We know the end is in sight when you’re sick of paper, Cola! The signs look great though!

I’m glad Mr. Snow is handling our paper goods, but I think he’s approaching your state of burnout rather rapidly.

Oh goodness, I remember all the signs that we had to make for our wedding as well. I was SO sick of it by the time we hot the two-week-ish mark (heck, even long before that!). It seemed like everyday, we were like, “Oh yeah, we need a sign for this …” I feel for you!

@Miss Cola, are you planning on keeping any of these paper goods afterward for posterity? Or will they all be sadly tossed? :(

I never wanted to do paper projects to begin with. So doing them to me just seems like one gigantic pain in the ass. On a glass half full note, yours look su-weet!

Thank you for this post - I totally didn’t think about the fact that making a sign for the shuttle we hired would be a good idea. Hellooooo bride brain.

I can’t believe you’re over paper! But I don’t blame you, after all that work :)

its a bummer you even have to make a sign telling people to not help themselves to the cupcakes but i saw the importance to that at the last wedding i attended. guests helped themselves while the bride and groom were on the dancefloor! i was more than a little annoyed by that.
