Bachelorette Fun, Part 2

June 4th, 2010 @ 6:30 pm by Mrs. Trail Mix

Ed. note: This post may not be safe for work! ;)

~~~
I last left off with our sangria-soaked salsa dance lesson and all the fun that accompanied it. Next up, it’s time for Day II of the bachelorette extravaganza. Before I get into the meat of this post, I just have to say one thing: Don’t judge. A bachelorette only happens once and we lived mine up to the fullest. These are all actually the tamest of the photos that were acceptable to post, the rest you’ll just have to use your imagination for… hee hee hee…
Alright, onward. First up was a picnic in Central Park, complete with bagels, fruit salad, muffins and mimosas. The girls also took this opportunity to have a lingerie shower, and each person had gifted me with some sort of lingerie, ranging from innocent and sweet to downright naughty, as seen below.
Scandal! Mr Trail Mix was pumped about that one…
It was beautiful weather out and we lounged about in the park, stuffing our faces and just relaxing after our dance-filled previous night.
After we’d had our fill and it started to get hot, we went to what I can only describe as my happy place: manicure and pedicures. I swear, if there is anything better on God’s green earth than a good pedi, I challenge you to find it.
Here are a few of us, luxuriously lounging about while prettifying our feet, trashy magazines in hand.
After all the day’s chill activities, it was time to get our party on that night. My favorite part of any night is getting ready with my friends beforehand, pedicure on our toes, toes, tryin’ on all our clothes, clothes, boys blowing up our phones, phones… and before I leave, brush my teeth with a bottle of Jack. Oh wait, that’s Kesha, not me but you get the idea. :)
While some of us got ready in the other room, several friends appropriately decorated the living room with all manners of male paraphernalia. Funniest story of the night: Bridesmaid D attempted to buy girl porn to decorate the apartment with. Well, she got so flustered in the store that she ended up getting gay porn by mistake. Needless to say, it resulted in peals of laughter and hilarious photos of enormous weenies.
The peenie table!
I have to say, I know a lot of folks hate all the male genitalia decorations but I just thought it was hysterical. A little cartoon penis gets me every time (because I am actually 5-years-old).
A friend brought this adorable/hilarious hair clip to rock ( I felt so Blair Waldorf wearing it!). And ironically enough, I got so many compliments on it when we went out by other girls, who just didn’t look very closely at it to realize what the hat was decorated with (take a closer look, you’ll get it…).
I was also given a “Final Fling Before the Ring” sash, peenie earrings, a blinking penis pin to wear and a gigantic (like, size of a softball) engagement ring to wear. I had a blast being decked out in all my gear.
Yes, we had penis-inspired balloons that I was forced to blow up…
There also may or may not have been some Soulja Boy dancing going on as well…
We feasted on bruschetta, dumplings and make-your-own pizzas (using French bread as the crust, highly recommend this for a party, it was so fun and sooooooo yummy!) while making sure to demolish the copious amounts of champagne and vodka bought for the night. We played a few games and just had silly, girly fun together.
I got curious about the gay porn. Bridesmaid JWills was just as shocked as I was…
I even had a special straw that I ended up bringing out with me. I loved that straw, I don’t know why, but I was devastated when I realized around 2:30 AM that I had somehow lost it. There may have been a few drunk tears shed.
The girls coordinated to all wear black tops and jeans and had me bring my white jeans and provided that pretty pink shirt for me to wear, as well. We did manage to convince bridesmaid D’s doorman to take a group shot before heading out to dance.
And that, my friends, is where the pictures end, mostly because I was too busy getting my dance on to bother to take any more. But rest assured, it was a total blast.
We capped the weekend off by with a delish brunch the next day but my friends would actually kill me if I posted any pictures from that, since with two nights out in a row, none of us were looking our best.
It was a truly wonderful weekend and the perfect way to celebrate a weekend with my girls. I couldn’t believe how much thought, energy and planning had gone into it. I was so happy to be surrounded by friends and touched by their generosity (they wouldn’t let me pay for a single thing all weekend!) and by their genuine love and happiness for me. Girlfriends, if you’re reading this, thank you and I love yas all so much!
Did you feel the love at your bachelorette party?
Looks like a GOOD TIME!!!! I laughed out loud many times during this post, particularly at your face looking at the porn. I also agree that a pedicure with a trashy gossip magazine in hand equals instant bliss.
Tangent: I love that Kesha song a lottt, except for the part where she sings about only letting boys hang out with them if the boys look like Mick Jagger. WHAT?? Who in their RIGHT MIND would only want to party with boys who look like Mick Jagger in his present state?! Find a better man or lose the rhyme, Kesha.
It looks like you had so much fun! Well done TM BMs!! I thought I’d hate all the penis stuff myself, but after my last girl’s bachelorette I think they’re hilarious and some of them- the teeny peen straws- adorable.
