Mrs. Sunrise's Picture
Mrs. Sunrise, Minneapolis Age and Occupation: 27, Client Relations Liaison Fiance's Age and Occupation: 29, Senior Technical Support Analyst Engagement Date: December 26, 2008 Wedding Date: July 2010 Venue: The Oaks banquet room at Eagan Community Center About Me: I am a crafty and optimistic, laid back girly-girl who fell in love with a video game-playin', hip hop-lovin', Lego-buildin', computer-techie nerd. I get easily distracted by shiny objects (oohhh pretty..) and I have more shoes than I can count (but I still need more). I love to shake my booty to Lady Gaga’s music but she frightens the hell outta me. Mr. Sunrise and I could not be any more different, but you know what they say… opposites attract! We met over 9 years ago while working for a local grocery store. It was love at first “Clean-up in Aisle 5!” We are both Chicago-born and raised, but recently relocated to Minnesota for his career. I will always remain a Windy City gal through and through, but I cannot deny my love for the Land of 10,000 Lakes.
About Mrs. Sunrise

Immediately after we booked our photographer, I started searching for some cool locations in the Twin Cities where we could shoot. Unfortunately for me, I had no clue where to start because we were still fairly new to the area. My awesome photographer couldn’t really help in this department either because she was flying in from California. I was pretty much on my own. So I asked my best friend, Google, to help me locate some sweet photo spots. I visited different gardens and parks. I stalked the blogs of local photographers. And then one day it hit me like a ton of bricks. I live in a pretty cool apartment complex! Instead of traveling to different locations, why not just shoot here??! And so we did.

There’s this little waterfall behind the management office that we often visit because it’s practically in our backyard. The pond is inhabited by many fish, including koi. We have also seen a few turtles in there.

I love props. I bought this 18″ x 24″ frame from Goodwill for a couple of bucks. And then I removed the picture and the glass. I cleaned the frame up a little, and voila! Our cool picture-in-picture shot was born. The world outside our frame is black and white, while we live in color.

These pictures make me laugh because Mr. Sunrise is such a silly nilly. Apparently, he was excited about taking pictures because he was doing a little funky dance while we were walking. I had to restrain him.

He often teases me about my “little button nose”, but he knows he loves it! ;)

He always cracks me up with his lame jokes! Harharhar…

The rocks were a little slippery, but we were being extra careful and managed to find a dry rock to sit on. I think Mr. Sunrise was trying to bite my big cheeks here. Haha.

I love our photographer because she remembered that this is one of my favorite quotes ever… from the movie Moulin Rouge. I’m definitely blowing this one up to display at the wedding.

A lot of these pictures are more silly than I remember, but what can I say? We like to have fun! Hmm… I still have no clue what the heck he was doing to me here. Sunmaid S jokes that I probably had some Jell-O sitting on the side of my neck.

Finally, a semi-serious shot of us! But he’s still got that devious look in his eyes like, “Just you wait, I’ma tickle the shh outta you!”

And finally, a solo shot of me. Gotta show off my bee-love. :)

Are you and your fiance more on the serious side or are you also silly like us? Who is the sillier one in your relationship?

we are more on the silly side. i love to surprise tickle him whenever i can. he loves to crack bad jokes. and our son just loves to play games. i love the picture of him kissing your cheek. it reminds me of my FI. every time we take picture together, last second he turns his head and kisses my cheek. its one of the reasons i have it as our picture here! lol
