Well, ’Hive, it’s finally here. After five years of dating, including nearly 20 months of being engaged, Mr. Hermit Crab and I are just about to get married. I can hardly believe that it’s actually here - somehow, I never thought it would actually come! We’ve had a wonderful Shabbat Dinner on Friday night with our families, welcomed our out of town guests and extended family with a delicious dinner, and now, here we go!

To Mr. Hermit Crab: thank you for being a wonderful partner - with me through ups and downs, always supporting me and making me laugh, and making me confident that we can take whatever comes our way together. I love you and can’t wait to be your wife!
To the ’Hive: thank you for all your support over the last month! You are a wonderful community and I feel truly honored to be part of it. I cannot say enough about how much I love this community - you’re amazing! There will be lots more from this sea creature in just a few weeks when I return from my Croatian Vacation, so stay tuned!

(And on a side note, I love reading these posts that talk about finally reaching the light at the end of the tunnel. Though we’re still a year away from the wedding, by the time we do get married, we’ll have been dating for over 5 years and engaged for about 20 months . . . it’s nice to hear from a reputable source that it doesn’t just go on forever!)
