I am a Sunny So-Cal bred gal who trudged across the country to follow her love of psychology and ended up finding a partner in the process. I am overly passionate about anything I involve myself with. I am an activist, a foodie, a reality TV watching junkie, an over-analyzer, a photography obsesser, and am utterly cheesy to the core. This is a story of what happens when a boy and a girl meet, fall in love over academic dorkiness, and a shared love for life. DIY Invitation Panels

After making your 2 panel pocket folds, you’ll need to design your actual invitations and inserts. I designed using Adobe Illustrator. I printed 3 pages for each invitation.

Page 1: 2 invitation panels (1 English, 1 Vietnamese) on 32/80# Laser White Smooth

Page 2: Two reception cards printed double-sided with directions on back on 65# Cover Laser White

Page 3: 1 Ceremony card & 2 RSVP cards also printed double-sided on 65# Cover Laser White

A large number of our guests are only invited to the reception. Consequently, we needed fewer Ceremony inserts.

I used Docucopies.com to print all panels and inserts. They have a $50 minimum order, so this is only a good option for people who are printing a lot in one order. They consider each file to be an order, which is rather annoying. I used a 10% off coupon code which helped a great deal. I also noted that all orders could be shipped together, so they didn’t charge me separate shipping. Their customer service and quality was superb! I was really impressed when I opened the box of prints!

I was afraid to take these to Kinko’s for cutting like I had with the pocket folds, so I got this fancy pants guillotine paper cutter. It’s pretty freaking badass! It held the paper in place, it cut precisely and straight, and it had a place holder so I didn’t have to measure out every single cut. Loved it! It’s one of my favorite tools I’ve used during this wedding crafting period.

I loved using my scissors to cut my invitations out….not! I didn’t think of using a paper cutter, so me and my scissors became close friends, lol

Nice work, HW! So far my favorite new tool has been a corner rounder!

I have always been a fan of my paper cutter, but wedding crafts had led me to appreciate the corner rounder.

Hey, just doing some link checking and found this post. Thanks for mentioning our services!

Just a little update — we did away with the $50 minimum this year and now accept jobs of all prices.

Thanks again!
