Back in early February, I attended a special taping of the Martha Stewart Show celebrating the 15th anniversary of Martha Stewart Weddings Magazine. Had I known I would be featured on camera 2 months after giving birth, I would have worn something more slimming than this ruffled concoction!

This heart shaped rose bouquet was a recreation of MS Weddings’ first cover.
We didn’t know if we were going to speak on camera, but we got mic’d up just in case. Darcy ended up saying hello to us on air and the camera panned to us, but we didn’t say anything. My mom happened to be channel surfing one day and landed on the Martha Stewart show just when I was on the screen! What are the odds of that?!
It was just before Valentine’s Day so there was a lot of pink decor…

Over in the craft area, Wendy the Pipe Cleaner Lady showed us how to create various crafts with pipe cleaners.
Joey the audience warm up guy models a pipe cleaner mustache and beard.
Some of the gorgeous Wendy Kromer cakes that have been featured on the pages of Martha Stewart Weddings over the years.
Martha and Darcy answering questions after the show.
The best part was we got to go backstage! Just beyond the stage doors is this ribbon/crafts/washer/dryer area.

Do you see that shadow of a head in the office? That’s Martha in a meeting in her office.
I wish I didn’t have my picture taken with Martha so shortly after giving birth. That is what a tired new mom who hasn’t lost the baby weight looks like. Ah well… I heart Martha forevermore.
Have a great weekend everyone!
