Random Act of Bridal Kindness

June 11th, 2010 @ 12:50 pm by Mrs. Seashell

Tonight I had the opportunity to perform an a random act of bridal kindness. Here’s what happened:

As I was leaving our condo this evening to head out to the gym I noticed a beat up a piece of mail laying on the ground.

Then I did a double take.

Ring stamps? Pretty address label? My bride senses were on alert. Even though it was dirty and icky I picked it up anyway. (What can I say, I’m a nosy bride.)

A response card! Oh no! Some bride somewhere needs to know that her guests accept and want at least one vegetarian meal!

I did what any good bride to be would do. I sent it along to its rightful owners.

So, hive, here’s proof things really do get “lost in the mail”. Here’s hoping I’ve paid it forward. Maybe if one of my response cards loses its way someone will take pity on it and send it in the right direction. Who knows, right?

Have you ever had an opportunity to perform a random act of kindness (bridal or otherwise)?

I know that bride greatly appreciates it! One of ours ended up at a stranger’s house and little kids opened it. The lady was sweet and took the time to look up my parents and leave them a message.

Someone did this for me, an invitation meant for someone else got delivered to this guys house. I received an email from him letting me know what happened so I could send another one to the right person. I aksed him how in the world he found my email (we didnt have it on the invitation and no wedding website) and he said he called the hotel our room block was at and the only info they would give him was my email. I couldnt believe he went through so much trouble to find me to let me know!
