Remember when I tried to DIY our centerpieces, failed, and Auntie Hottie saved me from my pitiful self? Yeah well, I got these pictures in my email inbox not too long ago. Here are some photos of Auntie Hottie’s latest creations. She made these for a family friend who recently had a wedding in San Diego. I had really convinced myself that I didn’t care what she created for our wedding. After all, she’s gifting us with ALL our flowers for our wedding. How could I actually insist on anything beyond that? I literally told her to do whatever she thought matched our theme and would be “interesting”.

After seeing these beautiful creations, I am just in utter awe! She is even more creative and talented than I could have ever imagined. I have no idea why she has never gone into business? Seriously! Look at these beautiful, creative, and just plain stunning creations.

Want to know a secret? Rumor around the family is that she was able to keep to her budget by cutting greenery from her own yard and other people’s yards. She definitely has the mind of a DIY-er doesn’t she?

I especially love that these centerpieces are more art pieces than floral pieces.

I certainly don’t love all of them, but the ones that I love, I really really love! All of a sudden I am really excited about our wedding flowers. And don’t worry, she gets lots of helpers (i.e., her siblings, cousins, parents not directly in my family).
