Mrs. Hot Wings, Chicago/San Diego Age and Occupation: 28, Professor Fiance's Age and Occupation: 32, Instructor Engagement Date: December 20, 2008 Wedding Date: August 2010 Venue: Ocean View Villas/Jasmine Seafood Restaurant About Me: I am a psychology grad student living in Chicago and planning my wedding to a fellow psych grad student. I am a Sunny So-Cal bred gal who trudged across the country to follow her love of psychology and ended up finding a partner in the process. I am overly passionate about anything I involve myself with. I am an activist, a foodie, a reality TV watching junkie, an over-analyzer, a photography obsesser, and am utterly cheesy to the core. This is a story of what happens when a boy and a girl meet, fall in love over academic dorkiness, and a shared love for life. We (mostly I) are planning our semi-destination wedding in my hometown of San Diego. We are excited to bring our families and friends together from across our lifespans to celebrate our future in a grand 400+ person culturally blended affair!

Single Ladies in Chi-town

Single Ladies in Chi-town : wedding bachelorette party san diego 11 IMG_3329

When the wedding festivities start, they just don’t stop. First, the beautiful shower from Mr. Hot Wings’ Aunts, and now a fun Half-Bachelorette/Half-Going Away Party. My Chicago friends sent me off in fitting Chicago style. We started with hot dogs at Hot Doug’s. Very Bachelorette, right? On Fridays and Saturdays, Hot Doug’s serves Duck Fat Fries!!! Super score. I had a Jamaican Jerk Pork Sausage with gouda cheese and plantains, a corn dog (for only $1.50), and duck fat fries. White dress what? I’m eating hot dogs!

We even let the boys tag along for this part of the day! Aren’t we nice? Below is Wingman B, Mr. Hot Wings, and N-dog.

Next, we went for manicures, pedicures, and a little Chicago shopping. Do you like my new HOT wing toes in my new “Coastal Chic” turquoise sandals?

… And my cute fingers. Let’s see how long I keep these up.

Then I promptly forgot to take pictures of our dinner fun at a Cuban joint followed by Italian ice and drinks. I’m going to miss these ladies and our leisurely time together. It was a perfect last evening with my Chicago homies: chill and all about the food. Bachelorette party 1 was done.

I really didn’t want a big bachelorette shindig since Hottie of Honor is planning a Las Vegas soiree for me later, so Hottie T just made me wear the Bride button pictured above. It was small and simple, yet very effective at getting special treats throughout the day.

Anyone else have a bachelorette party focused around something other then boy parts and drinking?

Your party is very similar to how mine is going to be! Dinner & a baseball game?!?! What better way to spend a Thursday night (the only night that worked for my bridal party) in Indiana?!?!

Oooooh, Hot Doug’s! Mr. O and I went there last summer on our cross-country road trip. Mr. O is a hot dog FANATIC, so he was obsessed. I am not much for hot dogs, but even I had to admit that mine was really good!

So far, all I know of bachelorette parties is boy parts and drinking :) but I LOVE good food and mani parties- you can never go wrong with quality time!

I am new to web designing and it made me more confused when I stumble into this content-management-system thing. I’m planning to update a site that is not designed using JOOMLA and was wondering if I can use Joomla to update it..
