You May Now Kiss the Bride

Are your lips feeling a little dry? Chapped? Or even worse… peeling? (Ouch!) No one likes to have rough, chapped lips. And no one likes to kiss them, either!

Time to slather some moisturizer on that pout!

I have a very bad habit of licking my smackers and that causes them to dry out very easily once the saliva evaporates. For kissably soft lips, I use Burt’s Bees lip balm on a daily basis. It is made from all natural and earth friendly ingredients and never tested on animals. It works miracles and I’m seriously addicted to this stuff!

I have to be honest and say that I found this product entirely by accident. No one recommended it to me and I didn’t read about it in a beauty magazine. I was doing my routine makeup-aisle-browsing at Target one day while Mr. Sunrise was off looking at video games. I noticed that the yellow tin had a little bumble bee on it and I scooped it right up! Haha. The bee won me over. Figures, right?

Well, I am glad that little bee caught my fancy because this is the best product that I have ever used on my lips! The refreshing peppermint oil gives my lips a soothing and cooling feel while the coconut oil, sweet almond oil and vitamins help to nourish and soften them. The beeswax helps seal in hydration. You are a genius Mr. Burt, although your shaggy beard could use some taming.

So take the time to take care of your lovely lips. Your groom will surely thank you. Mmmuahh!

How do you keep your pout kissably soft? What other lip care products would you recommend?

I love the Burt’s Bee product line. I also use Badger lipcare products by W.S Badger co. They are also all natural and have a great product line.

I LOVE burt’s bees!! The only competitor when it comes to seriously chapped lips is carmex!!

I’m a carmex user myself. I do like burt’s bees, but sometimes it dries my lips out more, especially during the winter.

I love Burt’s! And carmex, and softlips, and plain old vaseline! Pretty much I’m a chapstick addict!

I’m in love with Lip Smackers Dr. Pepper flavor. Plus it makes your lips a little red. Pretty awesome (except for my boyfriend when he needs to borrow some chapstick)!

Blistex Complete Moisture - it’s the blue one. WORKS WONDERS! And it tastes sweet, like japanese candies.

Kiss Me by Philosophy. It comes in a pink tube, has a nice minty taste, and has exfoliating granuals. The best part? My fiance loves it!

I love Kiss of Moisture by Nivea. Mary Kay also makes this great exfoliant (sp) and matching lip balm that you use after! It’s great!

I love Burt’s, but I’ll also use Blistex and the assorted “lip butters” from The Body Shop (fair trade, FTW). : )

Love your picture! As for me, I fianlly broke my lip licking habit (and my nail biting), so I’m able to use nothing and be fine. Until my sister comes in and it’s all over again and I use whatever I can find.

mark. cosmetics just came out with a new product called “The Big Fix.” First off, it is fair trade certified, which is awesome-plus it is a 15-in-1 product. You can use it on dry skin on your elbows, on dry cracked feet (apply to your hands then to your feet), your cuticles, and I tried using it as a lip balm and it is AMAZING. I didn’t have to reapply like I did with chapsticks.. :)

It is only available to reps right now, but if you are interested in it, you can email me and I’ll hook you up.

im not a fan of slimy stuff on my lips when drinking from water boottles.. but i discovered that if i put any sort of chapstick, carmex, etc.. even bonnie bell lipsmackers at night before i go to sleep, when i wake up to wash my face, i rub my lips w/ my finger and all of the dead skin comes off and my lips are smooth and moist and i dont need to remoisture at all during the day!

I use Philosophy Kiss Me emollient lip balm during the day. It’s called Kiss Me Red, I think, but goes on with just hint of color. And the best part, there’s no smell! I’m one of those weird people who can’t wear lipstick because of the smell. I am strictly a lip gloss kind of girl!

When I worked at a makeup counter in law school, they said to take a warm washcloth and in a circular motion rub the lips to exfoliate which works. I slather on just plain Vaseline when I am done. The bonus is it works the best on eye make up!
