If our guests weren’t enjoying the dance floor, chocolate fountain, or each other’s company, we tried to get them to visit the fake photobooth that our friend and photographer Alicia Griffin had agreed to operate.
We constructed the booth out of PVC pipe—a basic set up with feet and a simple crossbar. Mr. Pencils took on the task of creating the backdrop and he was incredibly proud of his design utilizing our ribbon. I loved it’s abstract feel and the photos we got back!
Below you’ll see two very good friends from APO and college, Ruth and Elissa, as well as the photog Alicia in the middle. Elissa is teaching English in Japan and surprised us by RSVPing NO but coming as Ruth’s guest! We were so happy to see her!
Mr. Pencils’ former co-worker showed up with a friend and gave us some great advice for a happy marriage:
Love this photo of my bestie Ann Marie and her boyfriend Rob. Stay tuned for more fun involving these two later in the evening….
My co-workers are ridic. Simply put.
Heather and Aldo are getting married later this summer and have made it through years of LDR as he is from Chile.
Classic Beth shot. Love this girl.
College friends graced the stage.
Besties Alison, Samantha and Paige. So chic.
We’re dorks. Love them.
My family are goons.
My two little cousins below were the youngest guests at the wedding. Somehow, they procured these chef hats. No clue how.
Idaho gals RULE! Both chalkboards show reminisces of our years growing up or an inside joke.
Love Cara. Love her.
The photos below are the ones you dream of capturing with a photobooth. My grandmother and her best friend/cousin Gracie took two beautiful, fun photos.
A photo I wish I could have been in: APO girls.
I think they were trying to be serious… because Moscow, the location, is serious… and was their table assignment.
My bestie Katie, her hubby and my second (her) parents.
You didn’t think I could have been produced by anything less than crazy than the family below, did you?
Luckily, Mr. Pencils’ family is JUST as nuts…
Mr. Pencils’ “three” brothers. He grew up with these men. Oh, how goofy.
My brother and his beautiful fiance, and groomsman Ray and his amazing wife.
Aw. They taught at the same school for two years and HAD to get a photo together!
Some people enjoyed the props…
…while others took it simple and sweet.
We almost didn’t get a photo of ourselves…
Especially when the DJ put on “Like a Prayer,” for me, and called me to the dance floor…

Luckily, our photogs and Alicia captured some shots!

And as I danced, Mr. P got this one with our fauxtobooth photog Alicia.
We both make dorky faces.
I really do work with crazy people…
Thank you Alicia!
