Mrs. Cardigan's Picture
Mrs. Cardigan, Austin Age and Occupation: 21, Student/Soon-to-be Special Education Teacher Fiance's Age and Occupation: 20, Student/Soon-to-be Accounting Systems Analyst Engagement Date: August 16, 2009 Wedding Date: January 2011 Venue: Vintage Villas About Me: I'm a native Austinite who was raised as a die-hard Aggie. Luckily, I'm a pretty persuasive girl because I managed to convince my high school boyfriend (now fiance!), Mr. Cardigan, to ditch his hardcore Longhorn ways and join me up at A&M, where we currently reside with our adorable dogs, Cullen & Ranger. We're currently planning a bright, cheery wedding with a ridiculous amount of DIY projects that I can't wait to tackle! I love crafting in any form, reading, and margaritas (I think I love them the most!). Organization is what keeps me sane and I love helping others, which is probably why I ended up as an education major. It gets a little chaotic sometimes when you're planning a wedding among all of the papers, projects, finals, and certification exams, but we're having the time of our lives and we can't wait to get started on our journey as husband and wife - and we're so excited to share our wedding with the hive!
About Mrs. Cardigan

After we finished with the urban-y part of our photo shoot, we headed to Laguna Gloria, a branch of the Austin Museum of Art. This was Jessica’s idea, and Mr. Cardigan and I had never heard of it – we are absolutely in love with how beautiful it is! This set of photos is a little more traditional than the rest of them, and we’re super happy with how they turned out!

I know you’re all here for the photos, so I’ll get to sharing! WARNING: There are A LOT of photos in this batch! I’m kind of compiling half the photo shoot into one batch of photos, so it’s hard to narrow them down! (All photos taken by Jessica Christine Photography)

I hate that I forgot to take the rubber band off my wrist until we were a few photos in! Oops!

So! Those are our engagement photos! You like? We’re in love with them – now we just have to figure out what to do with all of them! We know we want to include one in our invitations, but that means we have to narrow them down to ONE! Mr. C said he wants to use one of the Laguna Gloria ones for the invites, so that helps a little. But still! There are so many photos!!

Does anyone have any genius suggestions for me for what we can do with the photos? I know I am going to make an album, and we’ll use some on our Save the Dates… but what else?!

Your photos are adorable and I’m in love with your yellow dress. My husband (then fiance) and I had so many pictures we wanted to share from our engagement photo session and it took some brainstorming to figure it out. I ended up printing 18 of them in black and white and using them for our table numbers. I found white frames at IKEA for a whopping $.99 each, used a photo for one side, and printed out the table number for the other. Super simple and cheap! I ended up selling the frames to the reception site because our coordinator was fawning all over them. All our guests were treated to our fantastic pictures after all!

So cute! We made a Blurb book out of ours, and used different ones in DIY projects, like our Save the Dates, RSVP postcards and Thank you cards.
