Grow Old Along With Me: Burger Gets Ready

After opening his present, it was time for Burger to become a groom.

Am I the only one who loves pictures of the groom getting ready? I have tons of inspiration photos saved, and getting these photos of Burger was always a priority for me.

I know these shots might not be too exciting for the hive, but I love them. When I look at them, all I can think is, ‘ohmygoodness, this is my husband.’ It’s wonderful.

Anyway, back to becoming a groom! First - button up that shirt!

We originally planned to nix the vests, but I’m so glad we didn’t - I loved the way the guys’ tuxes ended up looking.

Burger wore a solid black tie and the guys wore the sage ties that we gifted them - they all looked ridiculously sharp.

Getting that perfect Windsor.

Then it was time to start putting on the customized accessories I’d surprised Burger with.

Getting a little help from Brother Burger, the best man.

The final touch? A boutonniere of eucalyptus buds (which most people thought was missing a flower - whoops!).

Some of the guys hanging out before go time.

And proud Papa Burger, also looking super sharp.

Once Burger was dressed, the boys headed out to our vintage trolley with snacks and cooler in tow. They dutifully adhered to my extremely strict schedule, and got to the church with plenty of time to spare!

Proof of my type-A craziness:

Lots of smiles on the way to the church - and OMG look at that beautiful sunshine!

As far as I know, they had a pretty chillaxed, uneventful morning! Oh the joys of being a man and getting ready in 15 minutes. Next up, it takes a village to make me a bride.

I <3 groom getting ready shots too Especially because I won’t be there while it’s happening, so I want to see what happened!

I like the guys getting ready shots too! I think it’s always interesting to see how different the atmosphere is in the groom’s room than in the bride’s - much more relaxed!

These are great photos! I’m also a sucker for guys getting ready photos, they just look so cute and happy together, and you can never have enough photos of guys in formalwear anyway. Props to your dudes for keeping to your strict schedule so well. The trolley pics are great!

I agree with everyone that groom getting ready shots b/c we don’t get to be there to see them!! The boutonnieres are pretty, I like that it’s different from the big flowers!

Aww they look so handsome!! I also love groom getting ready shots…I’m so excited to see Mr. Socks’ pictures when he gets ready! I’ll probably want to run into the room just to watch, but I’ll restrain myself
