There are moments that I have dubbed the “forever moments” from our wedding. To me, they represent the happy-go-lucky, joyful, loving feeling that surrounded Mr. Pencils and me on our wedding day.

Some of these moments will be familiar to you, hive, as I’ve already shared them. Most of them I’ve held close to my vest and will now reveal. I present our forever moments, in no real particular order:

During bridal party portraits, my father looked at me and told me how beautiful I looked. I can’t believe our amazing photographers caught the moment:

While the men were getting ready, Mr. Pencils and his best man/best friend Andrew “arm wrestled”. This is particularly poignant because there are no two people that are more congenial and kind to one another, despite being COMPLETE opposites.

Why is it that when we laugh in our wedding dresses, inevitably we grab our ta-tas? Love it.

Ah yes, classic moment of the day. We had just pulled the dress on and it was bunching up a bit underneath with all of the layers. Mama Pencils reached underneath to pull it straight while I leaned on Ann Marie for support.

The moment below I’ll always remember: it was when I secretly stole a glance at Mr. P as he walked to our first look location. I uttered “He looks perfect” and promptly teared up.

We all remember the moment below, chronicled here. I was just so excited by his suspenders and he should have seen it coming. Love.

While guests were filing into their seats, I joined Ann Marie and Alison at the window to watch. A better photo is found in this post, but I’ll always remember standing there with my two best friends from college. I owe these two women so much of my happiness and it was surreal watching guests for my wedding take their seats.

It was absolutely hysterical when Mr. Pencils and his best friend from high school Megan posed together. I love a man who is comfortable enough with himself to send this into cyberspace and posterity:

Another forever moment came as Mr. P was taking photos with his men. I can still hear my mother’s and Mr. P’s voice “be careful on that ledge! Don’t fall down!” I love that Cara and Paige joined me on the perilous walk.

The next two may be in my top ten of moments and photos from the entire day. We are such dorks and Mr. P always teases me about my arm muscles. No matter what I do or don’t do exercise wise, they don’t go away.

In complete juxtaposition to the moment above, Mr. Pencils’ first and second note to me mean nearly as much, if not more, than the actual gift itself that he gave me. When we first began and I returned to Idaho for vacations, Mr. P would type up notes and close them in an envelope to make me read once I was on a plane back home.

The moment that I looked down at myself, as a bride, is one I’ll never forget. There is something about taking a moment and realizing “HOLY CRAP. I’m a bride, about to be a wife, about to marry the person that completes me, challenges me, protects me and loves me even when I hate myself.”

Mr. Pencils’ and I took a second during our second photo shoot to bask in the lamplight out front of our venue. Pure joy describes this forever moment.

I personally will never forget my brother/man of honor’s speech. It was sweet, funny, and to the point. I am the luckiest person alive to have such an amazing older brother. I know that our two families will always enjoy the holidays together, no matter how far apart we live.

Speaking of my brother…

I remember looking into Mr. Pencils’ eyes during this moment and instinctually linking arms and drinking. We didn’t say a word- it just happened. Perfect.

There are not enough ways to thank Mr. Pencils’ uncle for officiating our wedding. I know he was nervous but he was the absolute perfect person for the job. I can’t imagine our wedding ceremony without him and he absolutely made it the special event that it was. I am so glad we caught at least one photo with him, last but not least, during the portraits.

Right after the portraits above, I remember handing my bouquet to Mr. Pencils for a classic “groom with flowers” shot. This is the best we got, because the next second he turned it into a light saber. Love him.

The few minutes that it took Paige, Katie and Megan to create my three point French bustle were hilarious. I was dabbing my face to wipe off the sweat from our photo shoot and they were searching for the tiny ribbons to connect and tie. Thank you ladies for all of your help!

I absolutely love this photo and feel that it captures the emotion of Mr. Pencils’ and my first dance. I felt like we were the only ones there and I felt so completely right and in love with him at that moment. So lucky.

And last but not least, nothing trumps the moment that we were announced as husband and wife. Our faces say it all- I’m overly excited and Mr. P… well, he’s clearly telling everyone he’s the man.

OK, maybe wiping dirt of off your soon-to-be-husband’s arse is a even better forever moment. Clearly, I’d do anything for him. Still will.

Thank you all so much for your outpouring of love as I recounted our day for you. There are no words to describe how joyful it has been to relive it all with you. I am not saying goodbye, as I still have a honeymoon (and PWC, courtesy of Mr. P in our bathroom!) to share with you, and even then, I don’t think I’ll be able to go without a mushy, overly gushy goodbye.
