Have you checked out WeddingMapper.com yet? It is really a neat site. My favorite part is the Create Your Own Wedding Map. It provides you with a customizable and interactive wedding map where you can add locations of your wedding ceremony and reception. This is how: Give your map a title (like your and your groom’s name), add a new location (add the url and a description), select an icon that fits the location (a symbol for a church, restaurant, bar, beach, airport, hotel, etc), then add this place to your very own map.

When finished you just hover your mouse over the wedding map, click on an icon and all that information pops up! You can zoom in, get the address, get directions, or go directly to the location’s website. If you wanted to you could even print it and add it to your Welcome Bags — it is fantastic. I have embedded our own wedding map into our wedding website to help my guests navigate to the different places on the island.

This seemed great at first but you have to pay extra for certain features - like printing. Google maps lets you customize their maps for free and you can make sure that it stays private. I’ll stick with Google.

I just found this site this past weekend! My friend used it for her wedding, I like it alot! I’m being super adament about making sure that we have good maps/directions for peolple because the last couple weddings we’ve been to haven’t been the most direction friendly events!

this is a very cute idea, but i think you can do maps on google. unless this site is free, i would stick with google (im a very frugal person)

Much of the site IS free! Especially the embedding the map into your site/blog which is why I really I like it! Google’s my maps is great–you can make your own maps there, get driving instuctions, etc–but I a sucker for colorful icons and Wedding Mapper has that!

I LOOOOVE weddingmapper - not only is the map great but you can create a website, manage rsvps and creat seating charts for the caterer - it only costs about $10 for the year. I would definitely check it out.

Oh and also - wedding mapper has not sent me ANY emails except when I had a problem and they fixed it within hours.
