… I am sorry (like many before me I couldn’t resist the pun), but I am just so darn tootin’ excited!! I mean seriously… I wish y’all could have seen me the night I found out.
I had just finished an hour-long hot stone massage at the spa and was patiently waiting for Mr. Locket to finish up with his when I decided to do my routine e-mail check on my phone (I know I sound spoiled, but these massages were a gift). I cringed when I saw the email from Pengy sitting in my inbox (admittedly, this is not the first time I’ve seen one sitting there).
…but, this time was different and as I read on I could barely contain the excitement. I am pretty sure I jumped up and down, paced around the changing room, ran out to the relaxation room to see if he was waiting, but nothing. I couldn’t scream because these places are quiet. I couldn’t call anyone because cell phones are prohibited. All I could do was wait with the dumbest looking grin on my face.
Minutes later (which felt like hours), Mr. Locket came out and I incoherently blurted the words out to him, “honey-pie, you won’t beelieve it!! I have exciting news…I got accepted as a BEE!!”
Of course he was excited for me, but as many of you bees know, not all of our men (or our women) get what a big HUGE deal this is!
So, why Miss Locket?
Well, I have always had a soft spot for them and these little pretties are one element I am eager to put to use on our wedding day.

Now, a little bit about us…
Us circa December 2008
(personal photo)
Mr. Locket and I met in the fall of 2005 through our unexpected mutual (ahem) friend, Tom (ahem… you know, Tom from MySpace who is friends with everyone). Needless to say it was an unexpected romance and neither of us really anticipated that when we met for the first time that we were meeting the person we would be spending the rest of our lives with.
Nearly 5 years later and here we are planning our wedding, enjoying life with our two pups, and more in love with every passing day. We are total goof balls, we love to play fight, and are suckers for snugglasters. What’s a snugglaster you ask? Well… it’s when you go to snuggle your loved one for a quick minute and before you know it you’re waking up to dark skies and crickets. That, my friends, is a snugglaster. Did I mention we are totally corny?
Despite our cornball status we are doing our best to plan our rustic-elegant-vintage-vineyard themed wedding and can’t wait to share all the details with the hive.
