About Mrs. Seashell

I’m not sure what it is exactly that gets me so jazzed about our wedding bands, but Mr. Seashell already had to take them away from me for fear that I was getting a little too obsessed. In fact, he threatened to ship them off to Las Vegas for his Best Man to hold onto until the wedding. Then he “hid” them in his night stand. Nice try, honey. Before Mr. Seashell got home from work tonight I pulled them out for a photo shoot before their big day. Mr. Seashell may or may not have caught me in some point in the process. And yes, you already saw them from our day at the jeweler. But this is different, they’re HOME and they’re OURS. It’s REAL.

OK, I’m done. I’ll back my train out of crazy town. Did your wedding bands inspire any sort of crazy covert photo shoot? No, just me?

Cute photoshoot, haha. I wasn’t prompted to do anything except “practice wear” mine around the house. I did forget to take it off a couple times once I was out, whoops.

YES!! I actually went nuts when we brought home our rings! At first, FI was semi-on-board, helping me with lighting and all. But after about 5 minutes, he wandered off into the living room, haha. I am so excited at the thought of getting to wear my wedding band (w/e-ring) in 15 days!! And forever!! And I’m so excited for FI to start wearing his wedding band, and to see it on his hand. =) And I, like Miss Taco, have worn it around the house, but then was caught in a video I took of my pets, haha!

I love your rings together, Miss Seashell!

Hi Miss Seashell! Not sure if you remember me. Met you and your fiance at the Chicago meetup back in March. Just saw this blog posting and really loved your ring. Saw more blog posts and pictures, and I thought, ‘Hey, they look familiar!’. Looking forward to following your wedding planning journey. I can live vicariously through you now since I miss it sometimes :)

Um, I want to say that I love the shot with the q-tips!

And we’re not allowed to see our rings before the wedding. We went and he tried his on behind his back. I’m still waiting on mine to come in.

The picture of them sitting atop your team hats is pretty hilarious. It reminds me of that guy who stole the garden gnome and took pictures of it around the world and then sent them back to the owner. Well done.

Prettttty. We waited so long to get ours I was just breathing sighs of relief that they arrived in time. Ours are pretty boring too since we basically forgot that we needed them.

I don’t think you’re crazy at all…we’re getting married a year from now and haven’t even ordered the rings, but I’ve gone to visit the one I want TWICE now!!!

Love the mini photo shoot of your rings. Did you use a jeweler in Chicago? We are starting to shop for our wedding bands, and not really sure where to go.

can you post some more information about hubby’s ring? i think my fiance wants something just like it–rounded edges, brushed center, high polish border, etc. is it white gold, platinum, or an alternative metal? also, can you give me a price range and the jeweler? thank you!
