Time To Get Serious…

July 8th, 2010 @ 2:08 pm by Mrs. Lobster

…about shoes.

We’re in the wedding countdown of less than 50 days!!! The wedding dress is en route to NYC and I’ll need to make some serious shoe decisions before then…hence the ordering six pairs of random shoes from Zappos. Thank goodness for their great return policy! I previously showed you some initial favorites and since added a few more.

Time To Get Serious... : wedding shoes Shoes1 shoes

I got myself a nice diverse selection of shoe candy including:

A reasonable heel peep toe, the ever popular Nina Electra ankle strap, a classic pump, a ruffle t-strap, a d’orsay, and an electric blue number. After I submitted my order, of course I saw more that I liked such as:

A very classic wedding satin shoe with rhinestone detail. But a little out of budget for a shoe I’d wear just once.

Grazia Valentine

Then this one. Love the lavender-y bow and platform of this slingback. The heel looks quite high though. And I hear comfort is king.

Badgley Mischka

Anyone have any reviews on these shoes? How many shoes did you order before picking the one?

I bought and returned Nina Culver — it felt pretty rough on my tootsies! I ended up with RSVP “Sadie” (I wanted a low heel).

I’ve never worn either, but I love the second ones. Have you looked into padding for heels? My friend is a shoe addict and she swears by them.

I bought the Nina Electra in fuschia and I love them! The heel is really high, but they’re very comfortable.

I got the Nina Culver and Electra from Piperlime. I returned the Electra - they just seemed a little too prom-y and kept the Culver, which was comfortable and wedding appropriate. But I love shoes, so I felt I needed something more. I ended up with the Badgley Mischka Randall in silver. They are to die for!

Nina Culver are very appropriate and pretty and probably the most comfy. But ohhhh those blue shoes I love it when the shoes pop against the white dress. I say this and I have chosen a pair of gold fancy Naturalizers for my ivory dress so who am I to talk, ha!

LOVE the Badgleys.. I ordered the randee’s and agonized over them.. too high/wobbly/uncomfortable. It’s always such a toss up between comfort and fabulousness, I have yet to find the perfect shoe! Found the ninas had a bit too much coverage on the toes, and all trhe RSVP’s I’ve tried on have been uncomfortable. Thank goodness for free returns, my UPS man is my new BFF.

I tried on the Badgleys and they were INSANELY high. Like, impossibly impossibly high. Such a shame too because they are so beautiful.

OMG I have ordered SO many shoes from Zappos. Upwards of 10 I think. I ended up deciding on the Stuart Weitzman Marimbow in ivory satin. Love them!!

I bought the Nina Electra in purple and I love them! I use them before at my bridal shower so I could get to know them. At the wedding I used STRAPPY STRIPS from foot petals. I wear them all night long!!

I bought the Laela’s in Ivory (they have blue soles!) and I love them. The heel is 3.25 inches which was really difficult to find. I’m thinking about buying rhinestone clips to add to the bows, they’re a little plain

I wore some RSVP for my friend’s wedding and my feet were numb for days afterwards, they are SUPER-high and un-padded. i HIGHLY recommend ME TOO shoes, they have padded bottoms and are very comfy- I’m wearing them for my wedding in less than 60 days!

I saw you were considering blue shoes, maybe you would like these: http://www.zappos.com/me-too-jeanette-royal-blue-satin

Just please, please at least order them and try them, you won’t be disappointed! And the bottom is totally non-slippery!

I tried on the Nina Elga and it was way too high and the heel too narrow for me. The Badgely Mischka shoes just dont fit my feet at all. If they r sandals then my baby toe sticks out and gets trapped. Even the salesperson stated that they are one of the most ill fitting brand. I think I tried on three of the Mischkas…too bad cuz i looove the colors and fabrics. Like cotton candy!

I got a similar Badgley Mischka (I think it was on your first list) in silver and the heel is only three inches, which I think a lovely height. I will be wearing some of the heel pads and some of the Dr. Scholl’s thingies for the balls of the feeet too. Beautiful choices.

I desperately wanted the Nina Electras in grape but they are impossible to find! Even the Nina site itself doesn’t have them available. Arghhh.
