Mr. Cardigan called his mom the other day with that excited exclamation. Her response? “Um…socks? Cool…”

Yeah, we get excited about the little things in life. But seriously? This is a Big Deal. You see, Mr. C and I have this very strong desire—no, NEED—for one of those amazing photos with everyone showing off their shoes, and the groomsmen having these amazing argyle socks. Not just any cool socks. They have to be argyle, somewhat like this:

Adorable, right? Well… apparently, no one in the world sells yellow and gray argyle socks.

Well, not no one, but you know what I mean. Mr. Cardy and I have been searching for months for the perfect yellow and gray argyle socks, and we had pretty much chalked this one up as a failure. We could find yellow and blue. Yellow and green. But yellow and gray? Nope!

Well, a few days ago, we were at Express looking at suits (which, by the way, is a whole new post, coming soon!). We were wandering around the store trying to see if they had vests in store (No) and Mr. Cardigan stumbled upon the socks. They had a ton of argyle socks, and some of them were in really fun colors. He called me over, mainly because he loves argyle socks and wanted to buy some fun colors, and lo and behold, he looked behind a few of the green ones and found THREE PAIRS OF YELLOW AND GRAY ARGYLE SOCKS! Three pairs happened to be exactly how many we needed! And? They were on sale! SCORE! We were practically jumping up and down in the store - I’m sure we looked like complete idiots, squealing and high-fiving each other (Not kidding. We actually high-fived in the store. Because we’re 12).

They’re exactly what we wanted! And I love that the yellow is not a pastel - it’s very bright! We were so happy to have finally found the socks we had been looking for, even if no one else understood our excitement!

SO GLAD YOU POSTED THIS!!!!! I have been searching for months too because I saw Mrs Pencils’ post on Mr Pencils’ socks and since then Ive been obsessed - finding socks is HARD WORK! I am going to try Express now….thanks Miss Cardy! Plus - yay for you guys!!! I love reading your posts btw you two are too cute!

Don’t you love that feeling? We did the same thing with our shoes. When my MOH and I finally found our shoes, it was the same reaction.

those are the EXACT socks that we need too! I am heading to Express! Oh, and we got really excited in Marshalls one day when we found wooden initials (they only had one J and one M!) I think we started dancing in the store.

Awesome! Express saved the day for my husband’s socks, too! Apparently noone else sells hot pink/fuchsia argyle socks!

OK, I love the socks, but I’m actually commenting b/c I LOL’d at your description of high-fiving in the store. FI and I high-five each other alllllll the time…like the super exaggerated Saved By the Bell type high five. We did it over dinner the other night when we decided on our reception venue.
