Today I got three invitations in the mail (and a Jamba Juice gift card for my birthday. That’s what I call a good mail day).

First, is an invitation to a friend’s wedding in September. This will probably be the last invitation I receive as a single girl/woman/lady (hahaha, lady?) and the first I will attend as Mr. Lobster’s wife.

Second, is the invitation to our wedding (testing USPS, duh) which means most other in-town guests have received theirs too. Our guests have their invitations. What??

And the third? My bridal shower.

I am such a sap (this happened when I turned 25-ish). Am I tearing up at an invitation? I just love my sisters and bridesmaids so much for everything. And they know me so well - cute birdies, polka dots, pink and red themes… yay!

I’m excited. For the shower and the wedding… it’s been all planning for months and now it’s all coming together. And fast!!

When did you realize it was happening for real?

Love the invite!

I was watching some 90’s Julia Roberts movie where she got married and I started crying at the wedding scene because I get to marry McGroom.

I started to really realize it was happening once we started receiving RSVPs in the mail! And then also when I started making our programs the other day!

so adorable!!! The realization has not hit me yet, but we still have 292 days (thank you facebook countdown!). How exciting that you have events planned for “after” the wedding. So cool to think you will be attending things as a Mrs.

So exciting! I love that you just received your own wedding invitation in the mail. We did hte same thing. It makes it all oddly real. Holding that invite, seeing our names in ink… It’s definitely a “moment”.
