The Story
The theme of our wedding was FUN. We wanted all of our guests to leave our wedding weekend talking about how much fun they had.
We met and became engaged in Myrtle Beach, SC. About 6 months into planning, we found out we were moving to Raleigh, NC. Since we were in love with our location and had complete and total faith in our coordinator, Leslie, we decided to keep things in Myrtle Beach. None of our guests live in South Carolina, so it became a destination wedding. Our guests began to arrive on Thursday and we had 2 days of fun in the sun at the hotel pool. It was a wonderful opportunity for our guests to meet and mingle before the big day.
The day began very calmly for me. I was up at 5:45 and went to the beach to watch the sun rise with my mom. It was the perfect way to begin my perfect day.
The ladies spent the day in the club house getting ready, drinking mimosas, and having a great time. The boys started their day with golf and then followed it with other manly activities.

My whole life I’ve dreamed of a pink and green wedding. We incorporated that into every aspect of the day - from my bridesmaids’ dresses and getting ready robes to my shoes to our decorations. It was fun and perfect for a spring wedding!

This was truly a family affair. My mom crafted her heart out - hand making tons of details. She made 8 pomanders - 7 for decoration and 1 for our adorable flower girl to carry.

She made a bulletin board for our table assignments. She used my grandmother’s wedding dress to make our ring bearer pillow. Both of our moms worked together to put together the sweetest slideshow for us. We had no input so the entire thing was a total surprise for us!

The most memorable part of the day was how filled with love the whole thing was. There was no drama, no chaos. We were so calm and so relaxed the entire day. I’ll never forget coming down the aisle and seeing my soon to be husband wiping the tears from his eyes. I’ve always wanted a fairy tale wedding, and we got it.
