We had our engagement photos done several months ago, and I really really love them. The only problem? Ever since we got them, they’ve just been sitting around on my computer, not really doing anything.
I mean, sure, I put them on our wedding website. And we’re both using e-photos as profile pictures on Facebook. But, we didn’t really spend all that money on an engagement shoot just to have pretty Facebook photos, right? So, I decided to finally do something about it!
That’s right – I made a photobook! I had been procrastinating on making one, because I just couldn’t decide which company to use…there are so many to choose from, and we all know how I am with making decisions. I figured I’d keep going back and forth forever, and we’d never really end up getting one. But, when we registered at Target a couple of months ago, we got a $20 gift card to Shutterfly. Decision made! Shutterfly it is.
I had a blast making our photobook, and I thought it was nice that I was able to include some of the photos that aren’t necessarily our favorites (meaning they won’t end up on FB or our wedding website) but that we still liked.
I’m really proud of this little book, and I plan to proudly display it at the wedding for our guests to peruse.
I took a few photos, partially because I want to show it off, but also because when I was working on deciding which company to use, it was always helpful to see books from different companies. I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of our little Shutterfly book, and I can’t say enough good things about their quick service – we got our book less than a week after ordering it!
Anyways, here are the goods:

The cover (whoops – bad glare!)
The pages in the book aren’t super thick, but I definitely think they’re good enough. I was worried about some of the photos (specifically the ones that I designed to bleed all the way to the edges) but it all looks great! The only possible complaint I could find are that some of the colors in the book aren’t quite as vibrant as I’d like them to be, but I can’t complain because I got a great price on it! Here are a few of my favorite pages:

Last page!

And the back cover.
I’m super proud of this little album, and I’m so glad we decided to get it. I’m a pretty big scrapbooker, and I create one for Mr. Cardigan every year for his birthday – so I think this will fit in nicely with all of our scrapbooks!
Did you order an engagement photo album? What company did you use? I should probably start thinking NOW about who we’ll use for our wedding album!
