Finally. We chose to go the route of hiring a student photographer to take our engagement photos, and then saved money further by having Mr E do all the post-editing. The shoot actually took place in early March, but because of his hectic student schedule Mr E was only able to finish editing them over our winter break.
(Recognize this pic? It is one of the first engagement pics that got edited and I snuck it into my intro post!
)
Part of me wishes we had splurged on a pro, but then the other part of me knows that just wasn’t an option.
There are things I love and things I don’t love about these pics, but in the end, the things I love carry the most weight and overall I am happy we have these pics to mark our engagement period. They were taken on the university campus where I study (it is all gorgeous and woodsy there), and we hope to use them to make a photo guestbook for the wedding.
So here are my favourites, in all their imperfectly perfect glory!
Hmm. Now I’m feeling nostalgic. I think the more I look at them, the less critical I get and the happier I am with how they came out.
Did you have an engagement photo shoot? Did you hire a pro or go the budget way?
