…I confess to the crime—I am a drawing cheater.
Though I have the capability of drawing and don’t consider myself to be too shabby, I don’t really have the time or the patience right now to perfect an illustration.
Why the need to draw?
Well…it’s all because of our invitation design concept. Though it is still up in the air, we both like the look of hand illustrated florals/botanicals as focal points.
I love the look that they offer and the sense of class and elegance that comes with it (mmm, vintage-y goodness).

Okay, okay…so you are probably wondering where the cheating part comes in…
I wanted an illustrated version of a flower, but I didn’t want to “steal” someone else’s work.
Thus, I decided to search for photos of flowers with hopes to draw from them and make alterations as needed. As you likely can guess, I was lazy and conjured up an easy-peasy alternative instead.
Within minutes I was able to create the “drawing” on the right from the photo on the left:
