Mrs. Argyle, St. Louis Age and Occupation: 24, Project Coordinator Fiance's Age and Occupation: 24, Pilot Engagement Date: February 15, 2009 Wedding Date: September 2010 Venue: Jewel Box in Forest Park and Windows on Washington About Me: I'm a true Midwestern girl (born and raised), lover of red wine, reality TV and the entire J.Crew catalog. I love to dance regardless of who is watching, and enjoy a good laugh with my girls. I have a soft spot in my heart for planet Earth, my two dogs and my fiance. Fall is my favorite season (which is why we are marrying in September), but I love a warm summer day and the Colorado mountains in the winter. We are planning a modern soiree downtown, with lots of bold colors, and fun, eco-friendly elements.
About Mrs. Argyle

I did? Well, let me tell you again.

Did I Tell You I Love Our Calligraphy? : wedding calligraphy invitations st louis stationery Calligr1 calligr

Everything about it fits so well with the look and feel of our invites. It’s modern and fun and different—way cooler than my handwriting will ever be. Jessica seriously rocked it out by addressing our outer envelopes and calligraphing the inner envelopes as well.

It’s just the perfect simple element to an envelope. Le swoon.

Who is your fave calligrapher? Did you splurge to get a little fancy script on your envelopes?

(Invite reveal coming soon – I promise!)

Very nice. Technically, my mom is my favorite calligrapher. We went the cheap route and just printed the address labels for our invites, but she did all of our escort cards.

Your calligrapher did a beautiful job! I feel as though the receiving of the invitation sets the mood for what is to follow!

I am having a traditional wedding on 10.29.10 and a Vintage (20’s-30’s) Halloween reception. Although we are opting out of costumes and scary decor, it is going to be amazing! I also love this time of the year and Pennsylvania is as good as it gets in the fall.

My invitations are being custom made by Leslie Tonkyo through Etsy and carry the vintage feel. BUT, best of all is my caligrapher!! Fleet Street Press, also found on Etsy will be penning my envelopes. The envelopes are black and she is using an amazing font that is called “pretty streched” and using white ink!

Without being able to speak to guests and descibe the feel, it will be spoken through the invitations! The combination of the invitation and the caligraphy will set the mood! Worth the money!

FLEET STREET PRESS caligraphy by Jen; AMAZING. ohh, she also gets back to immediately and always answers EVERY question to the best of her ability.

I also used Jen of Fleet Street Press and can vouch that she was very prompt to reply, professional, and my guests loved her calligraphy!

I did my best to neatly write our addresses…I wish I could afford a fancy pants calligrapher! I don’t think mine turned out too shabby, but what I came up with was def not calligraphy, more like a fancy script/print combo.

And, I can’t wait for the reveal!

I love your calligraphy, too!

I think I’m going to spend every waking moment practicing writing like that–not for invites, but you know… more lame stuff like work forms, post it notes, whatever! Everyone is going to love my new squiggly “s!” ;P

I’m DIYing my invites, although having the main invite and RSVP card professionally printed because I am a sucker for thermography. I really want calligraphy, but realized I couldn’t afford it until I found Carmela Mazzarulli… She’s located in South Jersey and does amazing work and is sooo affordable.
