Dear Mr Handy - please look no further! No wandering eyes! Skedaddle! ![]()
OK… now we can begin!
My two best friends and my mom drove to my house last weekend for the dress hunt! I had lunch waiting for everyone and we quickly breathed in our food, had some wine, and geeked over what was in store for the day. After lunch, we piled in JA’s car and headed over to Louis Marie Bridal where we were greeted by the owner.

We all must have been grinning from ear to ear when we walked in because she immediately said my name and welcomed us all in. I told her my criteria which was:
She quickly grabbed a few dresses, let us look through her enormous selection, and off to the dressing room I went! My mom scurried behind me with tears already in her eyes. We put on the first dress and made our way out to the audience.
Dress #1

You can tell I like it, but I dont love it. Its a beautiful dress, and I LOVED the buttons down the back the lace, but it just wasn’t IT. So ,back in the dressing room we went…
Dress #2
Again, it was a beautiful dress, but there were just to many things I wanted to change about it. So, it was on to the next!
Dress #3

I really liked the sweetheart neckline, I loved the fit of it, and it was comfortable. But it wasn’t lace and I didn’t like the ruching around my stomach…. so, back to the dressing room I went…

My eyes immediately started to tear up, my mom started to cry and it was an amazing feeling! I stood there breathless for a few minutes and just took it in, and everyone stared…

I pranced around the bridal salon, took a walk, sat down, danced, made sure I was comfortable, I could breathe, and it was ME.

I swooned over the beautiful beading…

And after about half an hour prancing around in it, I bought MY DRESS! As I was pulling out my debit card the owner told me that she worked with designer Christina Wu to custom design this dress for the salon. No one will be wearing my dress. EVER.
This dress feels like it was made just for me. And to make me even happier, she offered to put buttons on the back because I loved it so much on the other dresses. She also said that since that dress fit me perfectly, I could have that one. I wasn’t sure about a taking a sample dress but she assured me that the dress was brand new, had only been in the store a few weeks and no one has even tried it on until I did. SCORE! I quickly went to take my dress from her, and my mom said no. Um excuse me?
She said if I took the dress home, Mr Handy would see it and/or I would be prancing around the house every day in it and I will most likely ruin it. Mom is always right. So, my dress is currently hanging in the back of the salon with my name on it.
I go in January to get a couple inches taken of the bottom and to make the back lace up, but other then that, it fits perfectly!
Sigh… it is finally sinking in… I’M A BRIDE!!
Did you buy a sample dress? What was your experience?
