Burger and the guys were already at the church, ushering guests and getting in place. When we arrived a little later that afternoon, I asked the girls what time it was. Someone said 12:59, putting us one minute ahead of my meticulous schedule. I believe my exact response was, “I’m so f*cking bomb.” Kind of ridiculous, I know, but at the time I just remember thinking that everything had fallen into place, and that all of my crazy planning had worked out.
Our amazing planner Christine came out to the trolley and let us know that Burger was stowed away, out of sight, and that the coast was clear for my entrance. As some guests had already arrived, we quickly climbed the church’s back stairs to the cry room, where we planned to stay until the processional began—but not without a quick glance out into the crowd.

Once upstairs, the girls made last minute adjustments, and I asked for quiet as I tried to soak up my very last moments as a single girl.
The guys also had some bonding time before the ceremony. They all look so handsome and relaxed and happy—I love these pictures.
Eventually, it was time for us to come out of hiding and line up for the processional. This little one was waiting for us in the back of the church, lip gloss and all!
We weren’t the only ones getting into place. Our priest made sure Burger was ready to go, and he took a minute to remind him that this was his last chance to join the priesthood.
They were ready.
We were ready.
It was officially go time.
Cheeseburger Tip:
1. Timing is Everything - I took our wedding day schedule very seriously and mapped it out almost minute by minute. Yes, this is kind of outrageous, but it helped me stay sane (and on time!). I posted our Day of Schedule in the DIY section if anyone is interested. Just please don’t judge my crazy.
2. HYDRATE - We had beer, wine, champagne, liquor and lots of snacks for AFTER the ceremony, but NOTHING for before. The guys were hungover and parched, and I had the worst case of dry mouth while “hiding” upstairs before the ceremony (hello, nerves!). Make sure you remember to pack lots of H2O for you and your bridal party—you will need it.
