Mrs. Argyle, St. Louis Age and Occupation: 24, Project Coordinator Fiance's Age and Occupation: 24, Pilot Engagement Date: February 15, 2009 Wedding Date: September 2010 Venue: Jewel Box in Forest Park and Windows on Washington About Me: I'm a true Midwestern girl (born and raised), lover of red wine, reality TV and the entire J.Crew catalog. I love to dance regardless of who is watching, and enjoy a good laugh with my girls. I have a soft spot in my heart for planet Earth, my two dogs and my fiance. Fall is my favorite season (which is why we are marrying in September), but I love a warm summer day and the Colorado mountains in the winter. We are planning a modern soiree downtown, with lots of bold colors, and fun, eco-friendly elements.

Paper Gangsta: Rehearsal Dinner

August 2nd, 2010 @ 11:23 am by Mrs. Argyle

Lady Gaga anyone?

After we made our rehearsal dinner location choice a while back, it was off to the good ol’ InDesign to put together an invite for the wedding party and some of the family. Since all of our paper goods are red and white (reveal coming soon, promise), I wanted to utilize our other color, orange.

So, what did we end up with? Something simple and bold.

Since Mr. A’s parents are paying for the rehearsal dinner, we made sure to include them on the invitation. As for the size, we opted for a square (5″ x 5″) because all of the other pieces in our invitation suite are rectangular. It helped to make them standout amongst all the red and white. we’re very happy with how they turned out—very simple, but with a bold punch of color!

How did you invite your wedding party/family to the rehearsal dinner?

Super cute and bold! Where did you have them printed, or did you print them yourself?

They look so awesome! If you haven’t already picked out envelopes, might I recommend trying to find something 6 1/8″ high? I found out the hard way that square envelopes bigger than that are THE MOST EXPENSIVE ENVELOPES TO MAIL ON THE PLANET. I mean, seriously — you have to pay PACKAGE prices for them! It’s ridiculous!

did you print them yourself? Or did you have a print shop print them up?

@Mrs. Emerald, @misschristinec@hotmail.com: One of my BMs is a photographer, so she had them printed through White House Custom Color for me. They offer postcard/flat cardstock printing.

@BelaBBear: We mailed ours with our invitations, so we didn’t have to spare any extra expense on postage or envelopes!
