Ten bucks for anyone who can tell me what movie I just quoted!
Well, hello ladies of the hive! I am so so so excited to be here blogging on Weddingbee!
I found Weddingbee a couple months before I was even engaged and dreamed of being a bee instantly. Unfortunately, I had to wait many months before I could even apply. I’m gonna let you in on a little secret now: this is the fourth time I’ve applied. I know what you’re thinking, ‘good lord, that’s a lot of applications.’ Well I don’t like to give up. Each time I got rejected I’d get angry and then almost instantly want to make my blog even better and apply again. What can I say, I’m incorrigible.

Anyways, a little about me:
I’m from South Jersey (which means I root for Philly teams!) and went to school in upstate New York (go SU!). Two weeks after graduation, I moved to Texas because I was sick of the snow, and haven’t looked back. I started culinary school to become a pastry chef shortly after moving to Texas, while working a full time job at the same time. It was during that time that I met Mr. Plaid at my job.
I asked him to come out with my friends for my birthday, and to my surprise he showed up. We’d only talked a few times in the office before then. And let me tell you, I must have walked past his cubicle eighty times that day trying to work up the courage to ask him along. But he did show up, and the rest is history.
As cheesy as it sounds, he’s the yin to my yang. I’m a bit high strung (who, me?), while he’s the most laid back person I’ve ever met. I like to plan everything, and he’s more of a decide-on-a-whim type of guy. We work perfectly together. I bake delicious things for him and he teaches me how to kill zombies (on the Wii). I’m horrible at making decisions and most of the time he’ll gladly make them for me.
He proposed to me about a year ago, and I’ve been knee-deep in wedding planning ever since. I cannot wait to show y’all everything we’ve been working on for the past year and what projects we’ve still got in the final months of planning!
Oh, and why Miss and Mr. Plaid?

You can’t tell from the picture? My fiance’s a Scottish warrior, duh! Just like Braveheart. Oh, yeah, and I’m a cavewoman. Just kidding. J My Scottish heritage is very important to me and I plan on incorporating some Scottish traditions into our special day.
