Remember back when I was just introducing myself to the hive when I was all about positive life changes and a big move ahead which eventually led to ’fessing-up that I was stressed? Just look to your right in my bio on the sidebar if you need a mini refresher.

Well, that’s not happening. We’re staying put! It’s a long story, but basically, we are unbelievably lucky and blessed that things worked out. Given the current state of the job market, our hasty choice to pick up and move—especially right before the wedding—could have gone downhill easily. We love the lives we have built here in New York for ourselves. We have incredible, supportive friends to whom we owe a ton for all their emotional support over the last three months. So, we’re sticking around in NYC, in our apartment in Queens, at our same jobs, after all that.

What does this mean for the wedding?

It means that I had very little energy to focus on plans for a couple months, but as soon as Mr. T went back to his old job and we felt stable again, it was like I got a golden mushroom in Mario Kart… or something. I took a look at our to-do list, and attacked it with a machete… or a weed whacker? I’m trying to say: This to- do list is going DOWN. I’m kicking wedding butt and taking names.

In the last couple weeks we have accomplished so much, but there is still a great deal of stuff to accomplish. But, we’ve done so much that I’m downright giddy about it all. This wedding is real—it’s going to happen! I can’t focus at work most of the time. I daydream about it a lot!!!

I’m super crazy excited! But… will I be able to sustain this through the next two months? Can I ride this wave of blissed-out planning happiness to the finish line, or will I crash? I think I need to pick up yoga again, or practice meditation, to chill out and stay even-tempered.
