In my last post, I showed a lot of my favorite pictures and shared a little insight into how being in my sister’s wedding helped me with my own. In this post, I’ll talk a little about the vendors Sister Socks used for all of the readers in the Northern KY/Cincinnati area!
All photos from Daniel Michael Photography.

Sister Socks and BIL Socks were married at Lakeside Christian Church in Lakeside, KY. It was a gorgeous church and the minister, John Russell, made everything very lighthearted and fun—he definitely handled the ceremony beautifully.

Their reception was at The Madison in Covington, KY. It was a venue that had other weddings going on at the same time, and I was slightly concerned since past weddings I’ve been to, you could sometimes hear the music/guests from a wedding that wasn’t yours! The Madison was NOT like that though. The ballroom was gorgeous, the staff was so courteous, the food was delicious, and we were definitely in our own little blissed out world, with no other weddings interrupting!

Ohhh, Sister Socks’ cake was beautiful. Just gorgeous. Her cake was from Sweet Things Bakery, and let me tell you—it was DELICIOUS! I worked for a catering company when I was in college, tasted a bunch of leftover cake that brides and grooms left behind, and nothing was this good. Beautifully decorated, reasonably priced and tasty? You can’t beat that!

Our limo was provided by Motortoys Limo Service. Our Chauffeur was Rachael P—and honestly, the wedding wouldn’t have been the same without her. This girl was AWESOME. She swung by a liquor store and picked up champagne when I forgot to, it started raining during pictures and there Rachael was with an umbrella! Mama Socks forgot to bustle Sister Socks’ dress after the ceremony… Rachael P. our limo driver did it flawlessly! I was about to walk down the aisle with grass all over my heels from the photo shoot earlier and forgot to clean myself off? Rachael P got some paper towels and wiped me off. Bridesmaid Angie’s dress strap popped off right before we were about to enter the reception? Rachael P. was there with safety pins!
What really blew me away about Rachael was that… she probably does this all of the time for brides and bridal parties, but she really really really wanted Sister Socks to have the best day possible. I would have never figured that a limo driver could have such an impact on a wedding, but it just goes to show that anyone who does their job with a smile and true sincerity can truly make a difference. If you’re a bride in the Cincinnati area, I absolutely positively recommend Rachael from Motortoys. You will NOT regret that decision at all. She rocked the whole day!

Daniel Michael Photography: Sister Socks was very pleased with them! Again, they shoot only in film, so that’s something to take into consideration, but their attention to detail was fantastic! Sister Socks had Daniel Michael, a second shooter, and a photog’s assistant, who gave Sister Socks water, fanned her when it got a little too warm, held the umbrella up for her when it started to rain, and was even prepared with a Tide Pen when Sister Socks’ red bouquet rubbed a bit on her dress! The service they provided on Sister Socks’ wedding day was fantastic-you could tell that they just wanted her to be happy, relaxed and in the moment, and I think that the photos turned out beautifully!

(This is one of my fave photos of the evening!)
And what did I learn from all of this? I think the biggest thing was that it’s important to find vendors with your best interests at heart. I could just tell by the way they interacted with Sister Socks that they wanted her to have the best day possible, and it helped her stay cool as a cucumber!
I also learned how to not puke while delivering a speech to 200 some-odd people:

“Don’t puke, don’t puke, don’t puke!”
Oh, I was NERVOUS! I felt like jelly the whole time I spoke and had a HUGE knot in my throat, making my voice pretty wobbly. I spoke from the heart though, and I think Sister Socks appreciated that.

Are those teary eyes I see?

Overall, the whole shindig was a complete success! I had so much fun with my sister that day and I can’t wait to do it all over again in two months! Love you, Sister Socks!
