Good news! I found gorgeous shoes that are much cheaper than my dream pair! But the bad news is that they are still way over my budget.

Starfish Mom recommended Zappos because they have a large selection and free shipping both ways. So if I find a few I like, I can order them, try them on and ship them back if they don’t work out at no extra cost.

I did find a couple pairs I love, like the Kate Spade Lora (below) and the Kate Spade Lover (2 down). They both go absolutely perfectly with my dress. As much as I loved the Giuseppe Zannotti shoes, they wouldn’t really mesh well with my dress. These, on the other hand, look like they were made for it.

These would more than blow the budget, but my birthday is coming up this month, so hint, hint, Mr. Starfish! He actually never reads the blog, but Sister Starfish does. So hint hint… Sister Starfish! Maybe she’ll tell Mr. Starfish?

You can find satin bow shoes that look like those for WELL under $100. A quick Google search will bring up tons of them.

Very nice shoes. And looking around sounds like a good idea, but birthdays work too.

I just kept looking, over many months, until I found a pair I loved for a reasonable price. And then my lovely mother swooped in and bought them as a present to me, which was amazing. I’d suggest to keep waiting and looking…especially with white shoes, there are new ones all the time. Good luck!

Romantic Soles on 6pm.com (zappos’ sale site) has a similar pair in a light silver for $34. I second the RSVP suggestion, too!

I just bought a pair of Kate Spade Lover shoes for $29 at my TJ Maxx - you should call yours and see if they have any in stock - I just bought mine only a couple days ago (and it looks like your in Boston or near Boston? I bought mine at the TJ Maxx in Downtown Crossing in Boston). If not, go on e-bay, plenty of pairs are being sold for less than $100.

Yes they were out of my price range but Ibought them anyway! I’m a d’Orsay bride and I love them!! Maybe these shoes could be you *ahem* 1 splurge!?

I didn’t really budget for shoes - I just bought a pair and they were a bit pricey, but I will definitely wear them after the wedding. A lot!

I have the loras in purple which I wore to my wedding and they were super comfortable I got them on sale from Kate spade for $150… I totally considered it a deal!

Thanks for all the suggestions! I’ll need to look into these. It’s tax free weekend in MA, so I’m hoping to find some good deals this weekend. @Kat: I’ll have to check out TJ Maxx. I actually know someone who works there, so maybe they can check stores for me. Thanks for the tip!
@Amy: I need the ivory, but with that price I’m really tempted to go with the white!
@cgruse: That is a deal, I think I would splurge at that price!
