Engagement Teaser!

August 16th, 2010 @ 2:18 pm by Mrs. Socks

On Friday afternoon, as I was driving to Heritage Station Winery where we were going to take our engagement photos, it was raining. The whole way there.

I contemplated canceling or pushing the session back, but kept on driving with the hope the little rain cloud wouldn’t follow.

Oh, bother.

But as soon as we got to Heritage Station, it stopped raining and it was wonderfully (miraculously) mid-seventies without an ounce of humidity weighing down my newly blown-out hair! It was overcast, but again…with Georgi Anastasov as our photographer, I wasn’t too concerned:

So we took most of our photos under the overcast skies, but as the sun was setting, it peeked out from the clouds and we got the sunset pictures I was DYING to get! Wanna see a sneak peek that bridesmaid Jess took with my phone while we were in a peach tree?

I cannot WAIT to get Georgi’s photos back—he said we’ll get them in about two weeks and I couldn’t be more excited!

Did the weather affect your photos? Did you have a back-up or did you reschedule?

OH so cool!! Weather is actually why we never got engagement photos! We tried to schedule them twice and were totally rained out both times. Can’t wait to see your pix!

Eep! I am so excited to see them! We had to reschedule due to rain, and I was NOT a happy camper! I’m so glad you got them done, and that you had a good time!

So cute! I can’t wait to see them - I love the way pictures look in the rain or in interesting sunlight! I bet they came out great!

Can’t wait to see the rest! We did ours in May in Texas in and around old trains, it was hotter than you know what! I can’t complain too much because the pictures were totally worth it.

I was hoping for gorgeous sunset glare, but as it turns out where we went was really foggy. As it turns out it was fine, it created a very lovely soft lighting that was pretty in a different way. I still hope to get some clear sunset skies for our wedding pictures, though.

I was so worried about it raining the day of our shoot that I started obsessively tracking the weather 10 days out (which is why I could never have an outdoor wedding… too much stress) Luckily it was nice and sunny and we got some awesome sun flare shots like I wanted. Can’t wait to see your pro pics!

Yay! I cant wait to see your pictures either. It was terribly overcast and cold, threatening to rain, for our e-pics too. Somehow it all works out in the end!
