Mrs. Thimble's Picture
Mrs. Thimble, NYC/Philadelphia Age and Occupation: 26, Actress & Costume Designer (+ day job) Fiance's Age and Occupation: 26, Lawyer & Techie Wiz Engagement Date: August 22, 2008 Wedding Date: October 2010 Venue: The Pearl S. Buck House About Me: I’m an easily inspired over-thinker delighted with the process of designing, building, directing and {dare I say} co-starring in the early-autumn affair I’ve been dreaming up. I’m a sucker for trendied-up comfort foods and old family anecdotes; I have an affinity for adjectives, alliteration, eyelet and earl grey; and I live for quality time with family and friends. I never guessed I’d marry my “high school sweetheart", but when it turned out to be my funny, techie, loyal Mr. Thimble I was committed for life. We’re both mid-career transition and ready to move back to small-townish TBD, PA in a pre-wedding flurry of all-good life changes.
About Mrs. Thimble

I warned you there was more to come!

After our photo shoot at our high school, we took a short drive into a State park adjacent to our alma mater for some rugged woodsy shots. This is where Mr. Thimble and I went the first time we hung out one on one. (Err, well, that was actually a drive out to King of Prussia Mall so he could buy a 1st generation iPod… but this is more romantic). Again, I’ll let the pictures do the talking:

(Secret’s out: the shoes don’t match the dress. But once I had them on I didn’t want to take them off!)

I love innocent bystanders in photos.

Mmm yes, the danger dam sign = gratuitous make out pics.

Back story: Greg asked us how comfortable we are with PDA on a 1-10 scale. I think we ranked ourselves around a 2 or less. This is a testament to how comfortable we felt with Lorraine and Greg, and how much fun we were having. Now, back to our programming:

Must have been a good story…

My all time fave.

It was tough to choose just a bloggable few from this part of the engagement session! We had so much fun trekking through watery stone terrain and climbing into the wheat field. (I’m not sure what it is really, but it looks wheaty…)

Did you explore your PDA limit or tackle fun terrain on your engagement shoot?

I am a matching freak. There it is, I said it. Matching freak. And I still can’t see where those shoes don’t match that dress. It must look different in person, but if you don’t rat yourself out, we’ll never know.

In the words of Stacy and Clinton, your shoes aren’t supposed to “match” they are supposed to “go with” and your shoes are perfectly adorable! I LOVE the pic of your outlines against the sunset! GORGOUS! Congratulations.

what a romantic photo shoot. I just love the wheat field shots with the sunset. Love and sunsets just seem to go hand in hand.

It actually looks like Tyler State Park in Newtown, PA.
Another great place for e-pics near Philly is Pennypack Park. Friends of mine got theirs done there and they came out great!

Love those shots- so pretty! Our engagement pics were in Blue Bell- not far from King of Prusisa- at Rob’s family Farm. We had fun climbing trees, running through fields, and hanging out in the horse barn. Just got our preview today- so excited :-)
