After planning the wedding for so long, I’ve found so many amazing ideas. There are so many fun ideas that we just can’t use because they don’t go with our theme.
Since getting engaged ourselves, a few friends and family members have decided to tie the knot as well, and I can’t help but butt in. It’s a problem. My aunt was telling me about my cousin’s venue and she mentioned that they were sold when the venue mentioned having fire pits at the reception. As soon as I heard “fire pit”, I thought about S’mores and all the cute weddings I’ve seen with S’mores stations and kits.
I wanted to hold back, but I couldn’t help myself. As soon as my aunt said it, I said “they should do a S’mores station!”

Their wedding will be in late October or early November and all I could think about were cute little S’mores kits, S’mores favors packaged up, or a S’mores bar, like the one below.

Then, I started thinking of a shawl basket. I love when they have tags like “a warm thanks for sharing our special day” or “take a shawl and snuggle”. They’re so perfect to have waiting for guests by the fire.

But, I held back with the shawls. I worry that all these ideas will seem annoying to other brides who are newly excited about planning their own wedding, but if it’s a really great idea like the S’mores, I don’t know if I’ll be able to. I’m just hoping my best friend gets engaged soon and I can share tons of ideas with her.
Do you feel the need to share your new-found wedding knowledge with other brides-to-be? Do you think they find it annoying or helpful?
